Carrie and Lowell by Sufjan Stevens is without the most emotionally riveting album of the decade. Guy never disappoints

Michael Kiwanuka - Cold Little Heart
Anyone who loves good music should get this guy's stuff. Fresh fresh fresh!
Michael Kiwanuka is great. He's been doing a radio program on 6 Music playing some of his favourite tunes. Got me onto loads of good stuff.

That solo man, that solo. One of the most heartfelt I've heard and right up there with the best. To think Frusciante was 18 when they recorded that album is mind blowing.

Loads of early 70's acoustic kind of soul - Shuggie Otis, Buddy Rich etc. You can download the program from the iPlayer.
She drew the gun. Band from Liverpool.
Really good easy listening female vocals.
78 Days in the Desert - Solstafir
Car and Driver - The Rock*A*Teens
Dexy's - Breaking down the walls of heartache
