Yes IMO we are the most dull, boring pathetic team in the league

Sorry. What chances does Depay create because I can't think of hardly any
I think this has gone beyond blaming individual players. There are eighteen frckn teams in the who create more chances than United. The problem is the philosopher

I saw them already. Stats can be misleading we should have beaten Newcastle Utd Swansea City and sneaked it against Man City and Crystal Palace.

The flipside to that coin is that we are only five points above a Liverpool side who started so poorly they felt the need to sack their manager.
Who are 20th?
Feel for their fans the boring s
Yes hafi, I stole those stats from your post, and no, we shouldn't have beaten Swansea, City and Crystal Palace. Simply because we didn't and because we didn't create enough chances to win those matche
I do wonder if the purpose of this was to ensure we didn't have the sort of start we did last year. I pondered whether this would happen in the summer tbh, be as tight and difficult to beat as possible then play our way out of our shell as the season kicks on.
We are in a good position albeit missing really taking it to teams. I still wonder if the freedom or the attacking nature will get ramped up as the weeks go by. It was very important to lvg not to have the start we had last year and this may have had a part to play.

Some people on this forum are blind to the reality.
People are black and white. They think a manager is either shiiit or amazing.
The sad fact is that lvg is neither. He's just boring. And we'll get some good results, some bad results etc.
But more often than not we'll be boring. And as the richest club on the planet that's not good enough.

Hopefully the constant chances of attack attack attack will make LVG think about a more attacking approach. He must realise the fans are fed up

Thats a fair point, although our football got worse over the course of this season. I thought we finally turned a corner after the Everton game but Our general play has been more rigid and boring than ever since then
I notice these stats weren't being brought up when we were banging 3 in regularly

What's your point???
You can see the facts after 11 games.
In fact even when we were scoring 3 goals such as Liverpool, Southampton we actually created feck all. We were just clinical in the chances we did have. In fact I think we had something like 7 shots on target in them 2 games and scored with 6 of them
LVG will always be efficient in the way he sets his team up, even when they are scoring a few. It is, for want of a better way of putting it, quite boring at times.
Personally, the Stuart Pearce era at city was my least favourite season, more so than any where we got relegated, as it really was a chore to watch the football. Wins and losses do at least tend to bring out emotions, that was just mind numbing.
The thing is, if you some take more risks, it is better to win one game and lose one than to draw two. The CL looks pretty nailed on already due to Chelsea's implosion so you could go for it a bit more really.

Brendan got sacked not solely based on this season but the past one too.

Yes, but they have not started particularly well and we are (almost) as near to them as we are to the leaders. I'm just pointing out that our current position, while decent, is not necessarily good enough to be an unarguable defence for any criticisms of the team's performance.

Like many have rightly criticised, we are a very boring team to watch. Don't need the statistics to prove it.
It is down to how the Manager plays and quite frankly, as much as I detest it he is doing what needs to be done. Aim to get this club regularly competing in the Champions League. We're not winning the title with him and that's no criticism towards him, the team is nowhere near good enough.
There are 7/8 teams in the league that have scored more, but if you concede the least you'll be up there.
It is a chore watching them though, can't deny that!
