Sums it up Will, can't fault the effort, but same story in front of goal. Even had one ruled out for offside.
The problem up front is that we relied on one player because we didn't have the quality for it happen a lot elsewhere. He had a "key" contribution in 39 of our goals last season bagging 15 himself, mainly from the wing. We also lose what would have been a 20+ goal scorer to serious injury and even Lansbury got over 10 goals with that set-up.
We could have stood firm, talked to the player and looked to keep him until we could make use of the money. But no, didn't happen and now we've got a full squad, no real goal scorer and are sailing towards the bottom 3. We change manager and they aren't going to magically make us a free scoring team.
No way would Brit have missed all those chances

Our injured team is so good which is the massively frustrating thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They'd thrash the fit team!
Probably even with them still injured
That is right Ray, none of it Dougies fault.
"No way would Brit have missed all those chances"
He'd probably be one of the wide strikers in the 4-2-1-3
Antonio was desperate to go. Think he would have done more harm than good if they'd tried to keep him. Wouldn't want another PVH situation.

I wouldn't go that far, I'm just saying what one of the main factors and don't forget DF said he has final say
I bet he regrets it now, didn't play the other day when victor Moses was not available.

Hmmm, each situation is different.
I don't care if they are injured this is my team for Friday.

It could have been like when Collymore wanted out.
Final say yes but Antonio wanted to go. I respect Dougie for saying he wants players that want to be here.
I think that shows how injuries make such a massive difference to the team
Don't think Dougie will make any changes just yet. Defence needs to tighten up. From the sounds of the commentary we will never have a better opportunity to score

He will know what disruptive influences players that want out can be. Already had the problem at the Charlton match where his "head wasn't right". With a limited squad where you have to try and make them more than the sum of their parts you need them all pulling in the same direction.

COME ON YOU REDS!!
FFS!!!!
Good lad Will.
It's your fault if we lose now then
Rev, I think its time you discarded the cloth for a short while and stepped up to the plate, as striker ! When you have kept us up you can take over as Manager. Then once you have got us in Europe, walk on water and return to the fold !
