Great team TBone, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?

I'm 34 so don't really remember Hansen, Souness and Kenny in their pomp. I'm sure I'd have had them in my team if I did.

38 Kneerash. I had a season ticket from 1984. Hansen for me is the best defender I have watched live after Baresi. The guy was amazing. How the feck Fergie picked his mate Miller over Hansen for Scotland was an absolute joke. Hansen at the time was classed as the best centre back in Europe.

Kenny is my favourite all time player. I only saw him play properly for 3 years. The guy was on another level and I think Rush would of only scored half the goals if it wasn't for Kenny.

My old man to this day still says that Souness is the best British midfielder ever.

Never really had a keeper I really liked apart from Reina but he changed that.

Interesting, Suarez isn't particularly close for me. I was totally in awe of his ability but didn't love him in the same way as other players. Probably the wanting to leave mess the year before he did and the problems his antics caused our club.

great mix of players here and most of the teams look decent if at times a bit unbalanced.

This is the Johnson that was quick, fast and would bomb up the wings, dribble past 2 people by the way.

Not a single vote for Ronnie Whelan. Surprising. Loved his style of play, he'd definitely be on my favourites bench.

Good call. Lots of players that were absolutely great that I never had that affinity for. I think selecting a favourite XI comes closer to selecting boyhood heros and cult status players over the clubs best ever
