Grim day in the Midlands, gone be a wet pitch. Makes it asker to control the ball than on a firm surface so could be a leveller and give us a chance.
Be nice if Benik broke sweat today. I understand the raffle for who plays on the left of midfield is scheduled for 12:30
I think byrne has been good the last couple of games, and i'd be starting him every match for now.
which means KJ will probably play Doherty LM, and drop dangerous dave back to full back.
He brought Holt and Le Fondre on at half time in the week. Not that we benefitted from that. Would he dare drop Afobe? He is looking less motivated by the week at the moment
can I make a nomination for some serious RAA points? found this earlier when I was reading a different thread:
"We have a great ambassador for the club, king Kenny.
Any player who doesn't come to wolves after we approach them is just stupid.

When you talk about KJ like that it reminds me of Sunny with MM before he fell out of love with him.
It was all “Mick will lead us into Europe” “keep up the funny remarks Mick” “if you don’t agree with Mick go and follow another team”.
That degree of devotion will only lead to hatred when he fails to achieve the unrealistic ambitions you’re building him up as being capable of delivering.
Chill. He hasn’t matched Mark McGhee yet and you’ve got him down as the next Cullis."
tatter totally nailing the over reaction fans can have towards players and managers who are only just starting to do their jobs...
KJ did a good job in the third division, a very good job last season (although early signs of his weaknesses were showing - the tinkering, the lack of a plan B towards end of season), and is now doing a very poor job. i'd love him to have us bounce back and finish top 6 this year, but right now I don't see it. and the killer for me is that he has completely abandoned the good footballing ethos he came with, so that we're now largely playing hoofball to a lone striker, with eleven men who often look like they have no idea what the tactics were meant to be.
the things fans have lynched MM for - crazy team selections, stubbornly ignoring players, poor transfers at a higher level, lack of plan B - are all there. sadly, what's missing is a championship title, and three years in the premier league before KJ got to that stage.
DJ,
I reckon team for today will be:

Your last paragraph nails it more than a desperate perv nailing a pro in a sale near Salford.
The bar has been set in recent times by our having won this league as champions. It's understandable that fans will want that success again, at least.
I would probably go with your team too gb but I suspect Coady will play and Byrne won't.
Although we have loads of midfield players I am not convinced any combination of them is good enough. But I would certainly include Price
You don't know how the minds of ex-Wolves players will be working in situations like this game. They probably don't know either- motivation can come while if its own accord. The fewer ex-Wolves h€r0s in the side, the better, I would think.
As for Jackett he has taken the team backwards this season with a poor transfer record, poor team selections and changes in tactics that have made us both less effective, and less attractive to watch.
I am sure some blame can be directed at the likes of Morgan, Moxey and Thelwell. But when we look at the low level of investment let's not forget from where we signed our last promotion team from this division. Foley, Kightly, Jarvis, SEB, Keogh, Ward were all bought in from lower level teams on the cheap. Do we just have to put that down to better management?

. ^^^^^^^^ brilliant
Feeling quite muted today, but will say I think we'll get a draw (sad day when I'm happy with a home draw ). 1-1, Afobe to break his recent duck.
lol not sure I get the Salford reference???
agree wulfrun, it's not good when we would see a 1-1 at home as an upturn

Another contributor relayed how he'd once nailed a bird in Salford, although it might have been Sale.
Anyway - it's getting late here, and I've had a few beers. Maybe time to lie low as Cinci and Wolfie will be de-coupling and waking from their slumbers.
kk i get it now thanks
well the sun is coming out here, so maybe it's a sign of a better afternoon on the way for wolves? let's hope so
Arvo girls.
Sorry to hear your weather is pants. It's 25 degrees with blue skies and sunshine here so I will take my laptop outside and listen to the game on player whilst topping up the tan just to spite you all
Seriously though, I have to say that it's much easier to accept rubbish performances and disappointing results when combined with sunshine, warmth and San Miguel
I bet gem
i'll be thinking of you suffering the anxiety of a dubious commentary whilst sitting in the sun, as I am sat wet and miserable, having an over-priced poor quality beer at Molineux in a couple of hours time.
Newcastle out the bottom three
I predict villa, bournemouth and norwich for the drop this season
