No. Plenty of players hurdle tackles and keep their balance, it's his own fault he wasn't able to do so

That's what should happen.
A player should do his best to avoid contact. Leave the decision to the ref.
If a player goes looking to make contact with an opponent then its definitely not a pen.
Remi jumped over the GK, and would have scored but he slipped over. You can't give a penalty for that. It was just unfortunate.
Of course it's a pen. The keeper stopped him scoring without playing the balll. Stonewall
Shearer thinks it's a pen.
If he had gone down he would have got a pen though. For me it's a pen anyway

Remy needs a few lessons from Ashley Young.
Feel like we need a law change, something phrased like "if the player could reasonably avoid contact then it is not a foul" or similar. Would be open to interpretation, but wouldn't be the completely grey area we have now.
Agree with shearer, the keeper made Remy missed the chance and didnt get the ball.
How on earth is it not a pen? Contact is irrelevant. You can't dive at a player and miss the ball.
