I think it's more that most midfielders and Kane are running upwards of 12km each match. It's natural that they will tire towards the end of the game.

I think also, as it's a young team, the 'game management' (to use an awful expression) isn't that great. We've not been consistently killing-off teams or seeing games out successfully, but let's not expect miracles. Hopefully this team will get better and better.

I think its often a loss of momentum caused by making a change...

we are making these changes from winning positions, rather than when chasing a game.

I think the timing of the change was perfect from poch yesterday, but son wouldn't have been my choice.. I would have brought on mason at that stage and pushed dembele or alli wide.

or even ben davies and sit him infront of rose, I have seen lots of teams do that kind of thing when trying to kill a game.

I have been saying for a while, cannot see the point of changing a team, by making a sub, if they are winning, unless a player is injured, surely it is not too much to ask players to play 90 minutes, instead of say 75 or 80. OK yesterday I think Poch thought perhaps Lamela was in danger of receiving a second yellow.

As others have said Lamela was benched not because he was injured or not playing well but purely from the fact that he was so close to being red carded.

Yes Pochetinno has made some baffling substitutions or not made subs when needed but, he bought on Dembele against Anderlecht and he scored the winner. He bought on Clinton against man city who set up Lamela to score etc.

there was no doubt about it. he was on a yellow and still flying into tackles... most of which he was making... but one slight mistake and he was off.. and had we gone down to 10 then we all know we would have lost 2-1

I think it's a combination of things. The game management part has never been good for a few years now at Spurs, and if I remember correctly Pochs Southampton team would do similar things when ahead, we came back from 2-0 down to win against them if I recall
They are young and they will need to learn how to close a game out. Also, the high energy pressing game is bound to take its toll at some stage late on, I couldn't believe how dynamic we were yesterday.
I actually said to my dad at 70 minutes, this is where we find out how good our defence really is!! And unfortunately GNev was right, we couldn't handle the crosses into the box.
But yeah, combination of tiring and young naivety I reckon

dele Ali did not deserve man of the match his pass completion was atrocious should of been pulled off much earlier. He kept putting us under pressure but his raw potential is there for everyone to see

I think we just needed some luck. 9 times out of 10 lloris saves the header and 9/10 the best player on the pitch Kyle walker would of got his head to the ball.

Having watched the game again Arsenal deserved nothing out of that game.

Are you for real. Dele Ali had a very fine game. Your also saying Erikssen kept giving the ball away, he didn`t. Sure you were watching the same games as the rest of us.

I think i was watching the same one buddy.

Alli and Eriksen gave the ball away more than any other player. Be it failed passes or dribbling (dribbling especially in eriksens case) 22 players not inclusive of subs these two gave the ball away the most. Even the hopeless awful defender monreal faired better surprisingly.

Take the failed possesion away we would of dominated much more, we were brilliant in this game. Shame the international break has come in.

For what it's worth, both Son and Mason were coming back from reasonable absences through injury.

I agree that the youthfulness and energy sapping nature of our game would have been factors, but bringing in players who are not fully up to speed will not have helped other.

It's probably a combination of all three.

However, 2/3 games we won, so not too much of a hindrance!

I thought Alli was excellent yesterday and Eriksen was good too.

Alli may have misplaced some passes, he can be a bit naive with his decision making but the amount of interceptions he made, his dynamic running and athleticism, juggling the ball over his opponents head, he was a joy to watch.

Souness and Henry were raving about him.

Its all going to go pete tong anyway because LLM predicted Poch would be sacked before the new year........

I thought Alli played well, but his decision making was a bit poor at times...signposted what he was going to do a few times - he may have done a League One player with them, but these players are wise to things.

His potential is frightening, he is still learning things at the top level.

Don't think Lamela would have done anything about the goal....good ball, poor from both Lloris and Walker, and more to do with bringing Gibbs on than Lamela going off
