What is happening with traore, so many rumours concerning him but looked good when he plays. Need to see more of him. Looks like gabby is being completely dropped, him and westwood.
Not sure about Traore, we all know he has the talent so hopefully we will see more of him under Garde. Westwood and Gabby were not dropped for the City game, both were injured ..

Sinclair was excellent for Swansea but the move to City seems to have dented his confidence to run past players. You played well and there were some moves which were outstanding. If I were a Villa fan, I'd be feeling very positive.
You desperately need a striker, losing Benteke and not getting a good replacement, considering the price you got for him was a travesty.
With what we have yesterdays was not far off best.
I thought some of the defending was top notch even though we had a pile of luck
We passed the ball well albeit without creating much at all but apart from lack of anything going forward was really pleased.
Could be a role for the Zog??
Veretout is a proper player
At the end of the day Guzans large swede saved us big time.

No shots on goal though throughout the game.
You can't draw your way through the rest of the season and hope to survive.
Still, a good performance considering the opposition.
Best 11 is pretty much the team that started against Man C, though Okore should be challenging for Clark's place. Barring injuries, would like to see same line up for next 2 games at least.
Grealish, Gardner, and Westwood will, I believe, have roles to play at some stage.
Looking at Jan signings we should spend what it takes to get the best striker we can. If there's any money left I would buy a left footed, left winger as we don't have one.
Both Sinclair and Ayew are what I would call secondary strikers. Both are goal-scorers, and I think we've seen nowhere near what Ayew can do yet, while that match where Sinclair scored a hat-trick shows he has all the instinct of a striker. Gil is also capable of scoring goals. All three offer something which Gabby now lacks, and I'm afraid there's no way he should start ahead of any of them.
We're not going to get anybody before January, and I'd rather we persevered with these three for the moment, with Gestede as an impact sub, which I'm sure he can be. We need to stick with Veretout as well.
As to who if anybody we get in January, it has to be someone who adds the right sort of thing. Not sure what that is. But that's what Garde is payed for.
But yes, that was our best eleven, no question.
hi aston villa have you missed me?
