Emre Can- Has no end product in the final 3rd and lacks concentration defensively leading to countless errors. Can run abit and has a decent range of passing but his game is too limited imo

Milner and Skrtel should go in my opinion. I know loads of people like them but Skrtel is a liability. He defends too high and we've tried many defenders alongside him and he's made them all look average.

Milner is too similar to Henderson but doesn't have Henderson's quality. We can't have someone on the bench earning £150k per week surely??

Enrique - needs to go £50k per week to sit on the beach!!!

Klopp loves Lucas and I can't see him getting rid of him. He's made him captain in one game and I've seen many pictures of them both discussing tactics on the training ground and after the game.

I think Lovren needs a different league, his reputation is in tatters and he's shot of all confidence

We can't accommodate players with injury problems. We don't have the quality in depth to deal with it. Saying that i don't want to lose Sturridge he in my eyes is one of the only goal machines left in the premiership. His minute to goal ratio is right up there. I can't see him getting over these injuries though and they will only hamper his performance over time.

Can't see Klopp making many signings in Jan. Looking back forward to the summer though

I'd keep Milner. He's still be adapting to 2 new managers' philosophies, processes whatever you want to call it.

Would be frustrating for him to be played as a sub/wide man again I'd imagine. Last time he played centrally was at Villa, and that's where he wants to play according to reports.

That's the issue Shinj. He's not a central midfielder. I've watched a lot of city games as my flat mate is a soft blue but I always noticed that Milner is at his best on the right. He is a good crosser of the ball and he understands getting to the bye line and cutting the ball back.

He is not a commanding midfielder though. I've seen Klopp pulling him aside on a couple of occasions now and telling Milner to be more composed. The guy runs at 100 mph everywhere. We have a high pressing team which means we need 1 composed play maker i.e Alonso/Pirlo's type player who can dictate the game

Yeah I like his industry and he does most things well. Is intelligent, can pass. Cross as well like you say. But he just doesn't seem to have the presence for CM. Maybe in a genuine 3 in midfield trio he would dovetail with the right partners. Would love to see him line up in a midfield 2 versus United though

I bet you would.

Milner is a work horse. Every team needs one. I've been abused on our board for pointing out we don't need 2 work horses. Milner and Hendo are work horses. We only need one!!

Think Klopp will keep Milner. He likes grafters.

Hendo a big miss for you guys. You've gotta hang in there till Jan and hope Klopp has a few up his sleeve. If so, I see you guys doing well again now Rodgers is gone.

It wasn't all Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge, but they were a massive, massive help. Any manager would miss them players, granted, but I think the collapse was real bad for his head, it just started coming off.

posted on 11/11/15

You are right it wasn't all Suarez but you need an outlet in every team. Someone who can turn a game on its head. I call that a star and right now we have no stars. For all the shiiite Gerrard was given and Suarez for that they both were stars and in my eyes we don't have one now.

Hopefully Klopp will realise that and bring in a leader who is a star.

We have a right spineless bunch at the moment. That's comes of being mollycoddled by the previous manager.

Every week they left the stadium with 'character' and 'outstanding' ringing in their ears. They were also bloody lazy as the stats show with the players covering far more ground and making a better fist of pressing high up the pitch.

I think Klopp will be more on the look out for players to compete physically than just ready made stars. He will focus on the team performance and hopefully stars will develope from that.

At the moment we are way off the pace. Players like Milner will be integral in the new way of playing along with Hendo. It's the lazy weak willed players who will get the chop.

Never understood this board, Skrtel and Mignolet have been good or us, especially Skrtel who's been our best centre back for a while yet they are constantly slated on here. It's pretty pathetic.

Liverpool support really isn't what it was once famous for.

Who is going to take Jimmy on £150k per week? You may be stuck with him for a few years.

posted on 11/11/15

That 150k a week includes his signing on fee.

I think that Lucas, Mig and Skrtel are all safe for the next few transfer windows. There are fare more important positions to fill IMO. I dont think Skrtel is as bad as people make out on here. It would cost easily 12-15 million to get a CB at his level - regardless of how you rate him. Same for Migs. To get a goalie to better him you're looking at spending easily 15-20 million. So as we are exactly rolling in it, I doubt we'll be spending 35+ million to replace two players that can do a job at this current time.

IMO we are crying out for a new Left Back an out and out Left winger. Not these current inside forwards that Rodgers was fixated with. We also need creativity in the middle so a goalscoring CM is a must.

Apart from this the only people I see being replaced over the next 18 months will be Allen, Enrique. I think players like Lallana, Lovren, Milner and Moreno will be phased out within 3 years.

Everyone has their own opinion. I actually like Mignolet. I think he has been a lot better in the last 12 months.

Regarding Skrtel I stand by my decision. I was a defender when I was younger so I watch our back line all the time. Our defence has been atrocious since Carra retired. Skrtel has been the ever present defender in that period. Sakho is the best defender we have and Skrtel is the 2nd best of a really bad bunch.

Skrtel has had Lovren, Toure, Agger & Sakho play alongsode him and none of those relationships have worked.

He defends too deep allowing teams to press us high and it also does not help when we try to play forwards offside. I have seen Sakho shout at him on many occasions to step up.

I don;t think Skrtel is a bad defender I just feel we need better.

On Sunday, before he damaged himself, Sakho was dictating the defence line. There is a leader, possibly in the Carra mould. He can't come back quick enough for me.

Agree, Sakho is clearly our best centre back.

Skrtel has been part of a defence that has conceded far too many goals in the last 3 years. He is a liability as people say, has no leadership or organisational qualities and is awful from defending set-pieces. He relies on too many last ditch tackles to make himself look better than he is, as he is usually just recovering from his initial slow reactions. I'm amazed we have stood by Skrtel for as long as we have in all honesty.

We need to be in the market for a new centre back, especially as Sakho and young Joe Gomez are now out for a while.

I really don't have too much confidence in Lovren, Skrtel and Toure being our centre back choices atm.
