i watched it, and somehow it managed to be even worse than it was before

I'm quite glad they haven't wrapped everything in a nice bow yet and hope they don't.

I know way too many drug people who are still completely at a loss of what to do with themselves in their late 30s. Jez is the norm

A lot of British sitcoms are very tragic in some ways. David Brent in The office was the same.

But I suspect Jez will be back to the same now he's back with mark, so he won't be quite as tragic. I'd judge it all at after a few more episodes. Very hard to see where a series is going after one episode.

As for the episode. I thought it was good. Not one of the best ones, but still a decent episode. I'll be looking forward to the rest of it.

I think loads of people in general are at a loss in their 30s, I don't think the drugs are a main reason for most though.

I'm in my 30s and I'd say 70% of my friends and people I know are regular drug users (at different levels but mainly a bit of weed with weekend use of pills, coke, K, speed etc) and most live very good lives with good careers/jobs.

It was nice to see the opening scene filmed down the road from me too.

Ah cool, didn't know they were doing this.

Watched all of the previous seasons a few months back to educate the missus on british humour a little.

Any of you guys seen the detectorists?

Well put together comedy.

They are where I live!

But the other side is shown by Mark. Often in between jobs, tries to do what society tells he he wants (wife, kid etc) but always fails.

Though caricatures, both Jez and Mark are very realistic. I know loads of both... I only know a couple of super hans, but they exist too, for sure!

I enjoyed last nights episode. Especially when Jez takes the hit for Super Hans' coke

Yeah I think plenty can relate to the 2 and that's why it's so poular (like most great comedy).

There are plenty of Super Hans about too, I was just talking last night to a friend how much we though a friend we knew was just like him. He even had similarities to Jez and got a 10k loan out last year even though he is a cleaner and blew it all on a holiday to Mexico.

The observations were based on the last couple of series' as well as last nights episode. I knew a few Jez types in my twenties but they sorted themsleves out by 26-27.

I just preferred it when Jez was a loveble loser rather than a full blown homeless, squatter, drug addict. Super Hans doing the old "call me" mime to Jez whilst he was getting him in the sh*** was funny, as was his juice bar stag do.

I love peep show but it did feel like something was missing.

A good time to wrap it up, as others have said Jez (and mark) are now rather tragic characters rather than loveable losers. Although the observations and inner monologues are still spot on.

'The aldi poirot, and his cbbc magnifying glass'.

'You look like a man who's just walked into a high class resteraunt with a sausage dog on his dïck'

Still got some classic lines in it. Only the 1st of the new series, got some legs yet.

They seemed to try to hard for me. Like the voice over seemed a bit over done if that makes sense. Me and my girlfriend have watched the rest of the episodes a couple of times, I thought last night's episode was OK, she said she just couldn't get into it, she said they tried too hard.

I think Mark tries too hard sometimes

We are 7 series in and therefore very familiar with the characters and format. Plus both actors have been on TV a lot in recent years.

Still enjoyable for me though.

I really don't find it funny at all. It actually hurts me to watch it.

Think it developed well as the episode went on. Actually, quite optimistic it will hit the highs of previous seasons as it goes on.

Tonight's was one of the funniest, madest episodes ever

posted on 25/11/15

Just got back and caught it on +1. Didn't quite hot the highs of some of past episodes but had me laughing my assets off in places. Looks like they are kicking into gear after a slow start (by its high standards).

I used to be the biggest Peep Show fan but this series has just been way too forced. The whole Jeremy being gay storyline sounds like it was a decision being made by the writers at a Wetherspoons on a Monday afternoon as an afterthought.

The two stars are massively over exposed on other shows and there has been too big a gap between Keep Show series for us to really invest in the characters anymore .

Tonight's episodes was a solid 5/10

Aye, I know there's been weird sexual moments with Jez in the past "the bad thing" etc but I think there must be something else going on that hasn't came to light, Jez being a rent-boy to pay his rent or debts or something, I can't believe they'd do the "lets just make this character gay now" like it was an episode of Hollyoaks or EastEnders or something.
