I actually think JA is a pretty fair reflection of society.

Considering the debates that go on and the number of pro, con, and on the fence debaters, I think it's a fair mix of society on here

Define "out".
JA is certainly a more accurate reflection of society than was my last place of work. There's a broader range of opinions and a higher proportion of idiots.
JA606 probably gives you a decent spectrum of working class male views, it probably doesn't quite have the numbers in other groups to give you the whole range.

how do you know. I presume your workplace was full of real people who you actually met/knew/conversed with? Ja is a internet chat room and therefore will have its fair share of internet warriors loonies and trolls plus lonely socially unsophisticated and inept adolecents and freaks basically craving friendship. Not the best cross section.
I'd say most on here are middle class rather than working class tbh.

I don't know, any more than I know that the person who sat opposite me at work wasn't a psychopathic murderer.
All I can do is judge people on how they come across. You can do that on here as well as in 'real life'.
Not to mention the fact that I've met a few of the people on here.

It really isn't that weird.
of course it is. Our anonymity is what this forum is all about! We arent real people we are just words on an internet page with a silly name
It's my own personal thing rather than anything used widely but I tend to lump in the vast majority as working class rather than make too much of a distinction between Middle and lower classes (even with the 3 class system your lower and upper middle class have quite a gap! )
Your right though!
I've just got a feeling there's more slightly higher up the food chain Saf.
I do think it's a bit of a societal change in that a lot of the middle class identify themselves as working class, and may well have started there. They're not, I think a week of being actual working class would make them realise that!

That's okay. I like to think I'm just as anonymous in real life as I am on any internet forum.

Given how much time many posters spend on here, I think it's fair to say that most could be seen as shirking class.
I just this out of interest -

Apparently I'm a "new affluent worker".
I'm an emergent service worker...
Being a student currently probably skewed it a little but my answers felt very working class, my upbringing is probably lower-middle class.
Holy shiite, I'm elite despite barely making ends meet
Give it a couple of years if you're a student, you'll be joining me in "affluent working".
I'm pretty sure I was an 'emergent service worker' when I did it.
Did you put high savings in tkt?
Just wondering what the boundaries are for elite!
class isnt about income. Its breeding education and lifestyles.
Which is why that isn't just about income rbw.
I think it was more about what I do lifestyle wise and who I socialise with. My house isn't 500k+ and my savings/pension is nothing to write home about. Salary is decent enough but that all goes whoosh with the house and kids.
Sounds similar to me.
Clearly you're going to see La Tosca whilst I'm playing Fallout...
I feel I was almost giving the 'perfect' working class answers for the what you do with your free time, museums and opera, nooo, watching sports and video games thank you very much.
I was only missing maybe a cleaner from the friends working class clean sweep as well, though if I included an old friend I don't really talk to anymore....
