Well if I'm wrong I'm wrong.
I'd seem that a syrian passport had been either found on the body of one the shooters, or in the area surrounding the bombing.
Might just be a coincidence.
Either way I don't feel comfortable with having them here and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are millions of Syrians displaced all over the place to get away from them are they all terrorists
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Naw of course not.

So why not help them in their hour of need
Even if all refugees aren't terrorists it doesn't lesson the threat of making it easier for terrorists to take advantage of this situation. It also doesn't mean any given country has to allow refugees in. If this were the case borders wouldn't exist at all and people would be able to live anywhere on a whim.
This is one time in our lives I wouldn't be against closing borders. Revamp security. Open back up when I much more invasive security procedure is in place. Safety first.

Most of the guys who carried out that atrocity on Friday lived in France for years, or just over the border in Belgium , how would closing borders have stopped it ?
"So why not help them in their hour of need"
Not worth the risk.
Plus it's winter time. I'd rather our resources were going towards helping our elderly and disabled British citizens.
We have more problems with crimes committed in this country by Eastern Europeans , we can't close our borders to them they have a right to come in
Exactly, Laudrup. Almost all terrorists are citizens of where they're trying to blow the fvck up.

A completely different argument altogether
It's too late to stop an act that is already happened. Why would you think I am talking about that? The fact that you've said 'most' and not all means that the numbers could've been reduced. We need to think about what is to come and reducing the threat is first and foremost the most important action. This doesn't need to be an extreme 'bomb everyone/deport muslims' action. Closing borders harms nobody. Keeping things enclosed until you are better prepared to deal with massive threats like this (both inside and out) is smart. I don't see why anyone would be against it.
This is young families with young children who have had to flee their homeland and live in makeshift shelters for years in order to get away from torture, murder, rape persecution and genocide and you want to turn them away in case they kill us

It's because of your knee jerk reaction
So, where do we draw the line ? Ban all Spanish in case they be ETA ? Ban the Irish in case they may be terrorists? These people are the victims of the policies of our country and younthink we should pull up the draw bridge !
I read a report the other day that a mass grave had been found of 75 elderly women who had been bound and gagged tortured and buried alive in southern Iraq , God knows what these poor soul had done to deserve that, maybe we could have done something to help them
Knee jerk?
I throw up a possible solution and all you do is shut it down without any alternative but leave things the way they are. It's only my opinion. I'm not even living in Europe and it seems the most sensible thing to do. You can either try to protect the lives of your Homeland or disregard extra steps you can take and leave the gates open for more and more attacks.
Tell us ....how do you close a border on an island ?????
FFS ... This idiot doesnt live in Europe !?!?!
It isn't meant to be a permanent solution. It's an alternative to what seems to me as 'sitting on your hands'.
Friendly bunch ain't ya. Cheers dimwit
