SSX3 on PS4

Call me cynical but I doubt it'll be a case of putting the old discs in for verification and downloading the game/playing it off the disc.

You want to play your copy of Vice City on your console? £8 please.

It's through emulation so I doubt discs will be involved, could be part of the Now app or maybe part of the PS+ subscription.

Playstation experience is soon, i'm sure we will hear more about their plans for it there.

Talking of old games on ps4 beyond 2 souls will be out at the end of the month, and heavy rain march next year

Never played Beyond Souls but Heavy Rain was a great title, these have been remastered so those who missed out can look forward to an enhanced experience.

At least there'll be a lot more decent games available for it now

Hi Derby thought you had run out on us, hows things?

Not too bad bud, am at work and struggle to get the internet sometimes. I'm always knocking about though

I think it's wrong they will probably make us pay for games we already have.

If they could have some system where we could input a number that could be found on all ps2 discs or something to download it for free that'd be good

It would be so much better if we could just put the discs in however they're money grabbing tiwats so we'll have to pay £19.99 for GTA Vice city as an example....

You can buy a ps2 for cheaper than that

If you can just pop the disc in and go it would be an amazing addition to ps4.

Be even better if you could do it with ps1 games.

Doubt it would work that way, but you can get ps2 and ps1 games for pennies these days.

Would love to be able to play some of the old classics on ps4.

I still have a bunch of final fantasy games lurking somewhere would be great to be able to play them again without havin to pay gr either a ps2 or the updated version of x/x2 which for some reason is retailing at 40 quid in the shops

You can now play 360 games on Xbox one

To clarify Hitlers statement, certain 360 games, not all

But it's a welcome addition.

Should read some 360 games.....

Will be honest although intially impressed i have barely touched my 360 or ps3 since buying my ps4 so although it may be nice i think its more a marketing ploy than a real feature, there was little or no out cry when ps3 fats were backwards compatible but the slims werent, as well as the poor uptake on the 360 with maybe only 50% of xbox games being backwards.

Ps2 >>ps4 seems very weird as the games are gonna look butt ugly and for the good ones you want there are gonna prob be remakes floating about already.

It's a fair point you make Simon, my PS3 was backward compatible but it was never really used as I wanted to experience next gen, it's something many claim they want but in reality as you say is more a marketing ploy, I still have my PS3 and it's barely used.

PS2 was a golden era for many and I'm sure many will look back fondly, how many games people will want to play is another question.
