Iniesta is a Spanish hero.
Imagine if broony ran the show in an old firm humbling of Rangers at Ibrox, could you see the bears clapping him off?

Just sent a message to my mate who missed the game saying the exact same thing
Respect to the madrid fans for doing that after their team just got pumped on the park.Class.
as IOAG , iniesta is a hero for spaniards..he scored the goal in the WC final
also he isnt a catalan separatist.....he is from near Albacete, Castilla La Mancha
Think we did the same - or was that with Xavi?

Top bloke, deserves the recognition and respect.

Iniesta is the best player in the world for me. What a performance that was. He's brilliant
I don't think him being a Spanish hero has all to do with it. They gave Ronaldinho a standing ovation when he was coming off as well
Ineista gets applauded at all grounds when he gets taken off since he scored the winning goal in the World Cup final. This has been happening for years. Surprised this has only been noticed now.
Only a small number of opposing players have had the honour of being applauded off at Madrid. One of them was our very own jimmy Johnstone and the wee man definitely deserves to be in the company of iniesta and the others. Something to show the younger posters on here who didn't have the chance to see him in the flesh just how good he was.
Iniesta may well still be applauded off for his WC heroics 5 years ago but last night he got a standing ovation for his masterclass.
