You will have to ask Pulis that but it wouldnt be the first time a top player has been benched by the manager.

Even players who have won POTY (like Mata) are benched without reason.

I think Berahino would be the perfect addition - the missing piece in the puzzle.

Chicken hit the nail on the head there chronic. Players like Juan mata have spent plenty of time on the bench. Does that mean he's a bad player? What about Dembele for us? Pretty much been a bit part player for the best part of a year before his recent excellent form. Im not saying berahino is worth 25 mil because he's not but he really would be the perfect striker we could get. Young, pacey, British and talented.

The season before last he only started in 11 games judging by that link you posted. So basically posting a link that shows the whole 22 goals in 80 games to be rather distorted and not a true reflection of his goal scoring ability. Cheers Ledley

Why should I take the 4 games he didn't start off the 80? Those 80 games are appearances for West Brom, not starts. Besides if Berahino is "quality" as you've described him before in recent months, what's he doing on the West Brom bench a lot as you've earlier claimed?

It's easy for you to turn around and say " don he's average as he only has 22 goals in 80 games" but completely ignoring the fact that a quarter of those 80 games are him on the bench. Meaning that 22 goal stat don't actually look to bad

If berahino comes on with 20 mins to go then that counts as an appearance. Considering he did this in a lot of the 13/14 season then the 80 game stat isn't really a true reflection. Pretty simple mate.

I'm not too fussed about the number of appearances sub or not a sub, i just like the way he plays, i think he represents good value for money and will compliment us as team / squad. And in this day and age, £25m isn't ridiculously OTT.

As has been said, Mata didn't get in Chelsea's side - neither could kdb.

And why is it fans disregard penalties when they feel like it. No-one has ever taken pens stats off of Kane. No-one refers to Shearer's record minus the pens, Lineker's or anyone's.

And I don't see why he wouldn't be on pens for Spurs. If Kane misses 1 or 2 the pen taker could easily change. I don't even rate Kane as a pen taker anyway.
