Good to know I'm not the only old geezer on here Champers
Gauntlet on the 64 remember it well
Our local swimming baths used to have the gauntlet arcade machine...think I spent more time on that than in the pool

For me one of the best of the generation if you like that type of stuff, certainly the best of the trilogy, and would also say the dlc is worth buying (only that and undead knightmare imo worth paying for).
Lads Sorry for going off topic
Last of us
Worth getting? Had plenty of hype but people I know said it's pony
That my subjective opinion
Tino its marmite mate
Give us a clue of some stuff you have enjoyed
Only 2 games on ps4 both look good . I was hoping Sony may have been feeling genourous and give out a top title seeing as it's xmas.
Ronny Mass Effect 2 is free until these new games replace them, so pick it up before then, also it's a PS3 game so you obviosly need a PS3, If you have then it's well worth playing from my experience of Mss Effect 3, which was also free on PS+ some time ago
Tino The Last Of Us is a great game, but as Simon says it is Marmite, it's no secret that it's based around a Zombie apocalypse, but they become almost secondry to the story that builds around the main characters.
Best ever seems a bold statement, but for many that is exactly what it is, for all the right reasons.
The Last Of Us is the holy grail of gaming .
Thinking about getting the last of us for PS4, never played it for PS3.
Can pick it up now for under £20 so i'm sure it would be worth it according to most reviews.
Do you roam around on it at all, or is the story mode very linear?
see thats where I stand with Mike - never had a PS3 as I went 360....so for me its not so bad buying the game as its still "new"
The story is linear United, but it doesn't feel like it at all, there are plenty of places to explore, so although there is ultimately one path to follow, it isn't obvious.
In fact exploring in this game is openly encouraged as a matter of survival, checking out buildings, cars and anything else you come across to find those extra few bullets or health supplies etc.
For £20 you can't go wrong
I will point out TLOU is certainly not some run and gun game, you will have to work your way carefully through the game to survive, quite often sneaking past opposition is a more viable option than wasting your limited ammo.
If you don't mind taking your time in a game, then theres a lot to recommend TLOU.
Cheers
I'm going to get it, along with one other new game and have a blast whilst i'm off for a few weeks over Xmas.

You either worship TLOU or you don't get it, there's no in between
Anyone else's plus not showing gauntlet correctly? As in its asking you to buy it?
Gauntlet downloaded fine for me.
Have to say it's actually not a bad little game.
I was dubious as I thought it would be one of those games that reminds everyone that actually despite your find memories of some games they ain't ever as good as you remember them.
It's actually quite fun.
