Toby has been a great signing & we only got him because he wanted to play for POch, which says an awful lot about how players love our coach!

All we have to do now is get Hugo to stop letting in shots at the near post (one of his few weaknesses in my book) & learn how to catch the ball from crosses!
Hugo, Toby & Jan. Sound like characters from a child's play book

Some save at his near post from Hazard's shot
Been a top signing but let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's not better than Ramos, Koscielny, etc
he most certainly is better than koscielny.
he was an important player in atletico Madrid's great defensive season a couple of years back and played in a range of positions for them.
excellent player.

Great save but was across him towards the far post. He has let two in at the near post V Arsenal (definitely should have stopped Gibbs effort) & also Lanzini's effort for West Ham.
Think it's a bit hasty to say he's better than Kos, who imo is in the top 2 CBs in the league. I'd say they're actually similar players but Kos has more experience
Explain how he was an important player for Atleti when he was a sub
Explain how he was an important player for Atleti when he was a sub
------
he played loads of football and was very much a utility player, played in dm too on occasions, plus rb and cb
he was behind godin and Miranda in the CB pecking order - who are both absolute class
hope that has cleared it up for you
He made 10 league starts and 3 CL starts in his season there
I think we have different opinions on what importance is
For instance I don't consider Mason an important player
its about levels though. atletico that season were pretty much the top side in Europe... didn't they win la liga and lose the CL final?
I wouldn't say mason is overly important for spurs, despite him being a good player, but if you use the same levels concept and sold him to a club a tier down from us, say Swansea, then he would be a very important player...
plus, koscielny cannot even keep himself fit for more than a few games in a row.
Your argument was that he was an important player for Atleti. He wasn't. The fact that he's an important player for Spurs is irrelevant to that point
Koscielny does have injury problems (like most of the arsenal player) but he does seem to play 25+ prem games every season and on quality he's up there alongside Kompany, arguably better after Kompany's past couple of seasons
Don't forget that Kos has 4 years on Toby and at 30 really is in his peak period for a CB.
Personally I'd say they are both on the same level but think Toby is going to get better and better.
i wouldn't swap him for Koscielny, and nor would you Analog, so its pretty much case closed
I wouldn't swap Kane for Sturridge either - doesn't mean he's the better player
of course Kane is better than sturridge
Kos is a good defender, but I think Alderweireld is a better all round player. Wouldn't look at all out of place in midfield to be honest
Not when they're both at their best - injuries holding Sturridge back
Sturridge is a better goalscorer, certainly more dynamic and rangey but as an all round player I don't think it's close.
You think Kane is so far ahead that it's not even close?
Despite Sturridge being the better goalscorer, more skilful player? Better technically, better dribbler, faster...
sturridge gets injured putting his boots on.... how can he even be judged?
Sturridge is a good player, but better technically? In what way?
I could quite comfortably see Kane excelling in a 10 role, doing what Lampard used to do in terms of goals from a breaking midfield position but also being the hub everything goes through creatively. His passing is crisp and he can see a pass early.
Because we can all remember how good he is at his best level?
Better technically in that he is a better dribbler, more skilful, better touch, etc
