Great post.

The results obviously won't go the way you said.
We'll win when should probably lose & vice versa.

But I'm living the positivity!!!

A playoff push is asking a bit too much this season! I'll be glad to get over 50 points, and maybe when Britt returns we'll end the season strongly, but 10th would be about the best we could aim for.

We're on TV for both the Wolves and Blackbum games.

Twice in four days! We're the darlings of Sky Sports.

One win and now you're going to go on an unbeaten run taking 13 points from 15

Good lord you are deluded

Or my drunken statistical analysis from last night either SPH.

Ordinarily Forest being 16th and looking at sixth, I'd be dreaming, but 8 points is a realistic aim.

14 points to 5th, plus the GD, now that's dreamland.

I can't remember which Derby fan it was, that said that Reading were the best team they played this season. So, to beat them and Derby (only lost to us in 14) and to narrowly miss out to Preston and Brentford is a good achievement.

Hopefully Dougie now realises that the team Saturday are far better going for a win, than playing for a draw. Also, that at teams like Preston that the very same formation might work, as one up front isn't generally going to give us enough goals for the times when we do switch off.

I am guilty of getting carried away by a performance, more than a string of results. But that meant nothing with Pearce and the initial string of results, plus, this feels different.

You can tell they play for DF, whereas with Pearce, they were either disinterested or disillusioned, or both.

The team is largely built by Dougie of course. Pinillos, Mills, Mendes, O'Grady and Oliveria all started yesterday. He's got the best out of Vaughan and Lansbury as a captain. Osborn was back to his best Saturday in probably his best performance so far and warrants starting ahead of Ward and Williams now fit.

You can probably tell by now that I am fan of Dougie. At the Cardiff game it was grim. Antonio was obviously off and their was no Mendes or Oliveria. Pinillos was about the only decent thing that game and now, that LB position is nailed on every game.

To get all philosophical then it's all about the journey for me. Each result a destination, sometimes disappointing, but the overall direction is promising, whether we reach the play-offs, or not.

6th will do. Would mean Derby will likely be up first ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Pinillos - seems a top man and I'm so pleased we (at last) have a competent left back.

The only annoying thing he has done was the rolling around on the floor (not sure whether he was feigning or not) in the dying moments of that Brentford game, and they scored shortly after. If he was feigning, hopefully he's learnt.

Top ten finish, at best!

2 wins in 3 is a bit better after the disaster before it. However I wouldn't get cocky yet thinking the playoffs are now the target. For now I will just be happy if we can get into mid talbe and stabilise the ship a bit after all the rumours and speculation surrounding Dougie which needs to end.

If we get to March time and we are 6 or less points off then maybe we can look upwards but we are only 5 off the bottom 3 at the moment and that needs to be increased until i start looking up.

That's so stupidly sensible, SBD, it's almost dull. You could do with being a bit more dog!

I'm only joking SBD.

Over the top comments are good and keep us all interested. You look like a hero if they come off, or a complete pillock if they don't. That's what it all about though.

That was my big prediction that he would come back.

Shame he didn't come back with the right attitude though as I still believe he is the best manager we have had ( on the pitch) since we were promoted.

However given time I think it will work with Dougie. We need to get through the mess of this season unscathed and then the real challenge will start for Dougie as the aim will then be pushing for promotion next season.

Super you could be right about him being the best manager since we were promoted (or was it SOD). But not beating 10 man Swansea in the first leg and poor team selection in the second still rankles.

For me though what he did in his second spell was even worse than what Platt did. We have still not recovered from either of those legacies really.

Hopefully DF can eventually claim the title of best manager. I have been a supporter of his so far, but I am still not 100% convinced. His mistakes have been minor so far in my opinion but he still has some big tests to pass.

The next run of fixtures could be very enticing for Forest if they can kick on after that Reading win. Got to say I am not entirely convinced they will as inconsistency is the word this season. Pretty much what was expected. The Wolves and Blackburn games look enticing. Could really start looking up to the upper half of the table if they get four points from those two.

I'd be delighted with top ten but any higher than that would take a minor miracle, such as Assombalonga returning and scoring a dozen or so goals between Jan and May. I agree with Super, let's put w bit more distance between Forest and the drop zone.

of course he is the best manager

even in his second spell we were far closer to the playoffs than we have ever been under anyone else

also, people are far too keen to throw all the blame on Davies for the way the club was run during his second spell......... like it had nothing to do with the chairman! who actually owns the club!

Davies attitude was horrendous but the mess the club is in is not all his fault

That's all too clear, BR. The Al Hasawi's handed over total control to Price. Seems bizarre try seemed to trust him implicitly. Must be a real silver tongue!
