They should be forced to spend the money on the necessary repairs. You cant take gambles with this stuff.

5-star stadium?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_stadium_categories

If a retractable roof is present, its use will be directed by consultation between the UEFA delegate and the main assigned referee.

Think so, Ginger. Was caused by a storm. How has the weather been in Glasgow the last few days? If I remember correctly, wasn`t our game called off? If not, part of the staduium closed?

I`m sure, if it was a major issue last night, they`d have taken other precautions, so probably not that bad.

It was a loose piece of flashing that was safely removed after all relevant H&S issues were dealt with

Nowhere near as dangerous as the Celtic V ICT incident whereby pieces of roof were flying off in high winds leading to the match being abandoned

Great article though, have 5

I was at that game. One piece of roof was loose but didn't come off Curly. Much like at ibrox last night

No...strangely the game didn't go ahead. Unlike at ibrox where they just moved a few guys and carried on with a guy 'holding the bit in place' for the entire second half

Fair do's Mags, I thought there was pictures of the roofing materials on the pitch but maybe not

Was it not the replay that ICT went ballistic?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Curly....I think you're right on the replay.

I was at that match and early in the stadium before it was called off.

It couldbe that there was more damage after we were evacuated...not sure. There was some stuff blowing about the pitch...but I think that was advertising hoardings.

There was some wind that day and night.....truth is the game would have been virtually unplayable regardless of the problems with the stand

Anyway...what about weegordy....'breaking news'...got to be the best headline ever.
