And so the beat goes on ....

This is all about Chelsea, and shows how this club matters, even to those on the wum, because they bother to wum chelsea.

When you all focus on your teams, it means we are not challenging, winning or relevant.

Yes bluebells!! all publicity is good publicity. And there's only one thing worse than somebody talking about you....nobody talking about you. Two common, but true, cliches I'm sure you've heard before

True dat, and how many threads about swansea tonight,or geordies, or mackems or villa.....they all just tick along, and few care.

Jose was interesting, annoying, arrogant, funny, flawed and kept us all chatting in work.
I fell out with him, and he said that hurt more than sacking, because his ego and genius turned in on itself/ Chelsea players.

This weeks abuse of players was my final straw, and glad the club had balls to sack our best manager, when he was behaving worse than any other Chelsea manager.

The berating of players, in hindsight, seemed to be a covering of his own reputation, but if he knew he was on the way out and he feels that's the truth, then fair play to him.

One thing that annoys me about the whole football thing is the interviews.

Very rarely do people at clubs trot out anything more than -"stick together, work hard, pass to each other, it's all about the 3 points, everything stays behind closed doors" etc, etc

So when you get a bit of honesty, ala Mourinho, vG (see the Valdes incident, brutal honesty) then I admire and applaud them.

Same with pundits, Neville told us actual anecdotes of his time at Man U, I remember one where he said Schmeichel preferred the defenders to just stand still if a player was advancing and was going to shoot (as opposed to twisting and trying to block. Reason was, the keeper would sort of work out which path to goal the legs would block, and which he had to block. If the defender moved dramatically, a stretch for example, it changed the picture the keeper had. Also it made the chance of an inside leg deflection greater.

I was fascinated by this. So much better than, "stay tight, get in position, stay on your feet" that we all know already because we hear it week in week.

Is that all the defensive coaches told them (Hansen, Lawro, etc) EVERY week I used to think.

And with Shearer, same old carp every week, "run the channels, play on the shoulder, head it down, shoot across the keeper"

Ffs it's so basic, tell us some new, behind the scenes stuff that used to go on.

That's where Nev and Carra differ IMO

Neville will be a loss to us at Valencia,on the chat front.

So true about the lawro and shearer dullards, never straying from good old banal.

I know people can be thick and boring, but if you are in the media, at least try to be original and Interesting.

It will be a grey day without Jose, but hey ho, for the good of Chelsea I will take a massive bore in charge, with no personality or wit.

Night mate.

Would have made more sense than some of Jose's interviews this season.
