My main problem with your list is Mike England City and Utd have paid about 30m each for about 6 cbs and none of them are fit to lace Englands boots

Hard to comment as being 30 means I didn't see some of them play, but in my mind you'd value someone like Gazza alongside Bale pricing,
Waddle along with Ozil/Sanchez bracket.
Klinsman to Ibrahimovic?

Yep, if Greavsie was playing today, he would command £300K a week wages minimum, considering Rooney cons 250K a week out of United

I saw Rooney play for Everton aged 16 in the youth cup s/f ....Jesus hes gone down hill fast since then

Great thread. Love to hear from posters who saw great players from 60s and 70s. I've watched spurs since early 80s. Waddle easily £50m. At least as good as Ribery. What would hoddle be worth I wonder?

There are lots of greatest ever to lots of different people

Danny Blanchflower maybe

Which means weve had so many superstars

All these amazing £100m players and you only won 2 league titles - last of them over half a century ago? Perhaps you may be overrating those players a tad.
