Lafferty comes in.
We get an experienced championship right winger.
Bridcutt signs on a permanent.
Cooper (Bamba's partner) has been very good this season, our best CB by miles.
I'm hoping we don't anyone that isn't complete sh*t.
Funny how our results have improved with Bellusci in the team, a good center back at this level.
Coopers positioning is poor and he gets caught out with it far to often.
To be fair i saw Bellusci win a fair few headers last night.....couldnt believe it.
Bellusci was definitely better than Cooper last night. Personally I think both are inconsistent.
A lot of good centre half play is about having a settled partnership. The whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Part of the problem is the constant chopping and changing, it creates indecision and contributes to the errors.
Bellusci, bamba and cooper have all made numerous individual errors, though it seems flavour to highlight bellusci's more.
I'm not bothered who Evans picks, as long as he leaves them to get better understanding.
Sell Wooton
----
Yes, great idea. Lets sell a player who has been consistently good for us now for about a year.
Wootton is good cover man and worth his place in the squad, but Berardi over him everytime at RB.
Not saying he should be first choice, but Berardi's out for 8 weeks and Wootton has looked better there than Byram
I think he'd be worth a go at centreback
Both Cooper & Bellusci are bang average for this league, should be 3rd choice CB for us. For me, we've improved with a more effective central midfield relieving pressure on the back - the best we've been all season is with Coops & Bamba earlier in the season.
Wooton just hasn't been the most consistantly good player!! He can't do anything going forward, has no pace and is rash in the challenge. I don't see how you can watch Byram & Berardi and think he's OK!?
I never said most consistent. He's been consistently good for us now for a while. He's good to have in the squad, would be an awful decision to sell him right now.
Agreed on Wootton, there is no reason why he should be sold, he is solid enough to have a place in the squad. Granted he offers nothing going forward but for a player who has played out of position for a year now, he hasn't done bad.
Yes Berardi and Byram may well be better right backs, but one is injured and the other hasn't been playing well enough to replace him.
Would like to see us sign
* centre back to play alongside Bamba, Cooper and bellusci are ok.
* Back up left back
* A Gradel type winger
* Hoolahan type creator
* Beckford like striker
* Bridcutt signed
Bridcutt either signed or with an extended loan until end of season.
Another centre back who can go straight into starting line up.
A quick 'play on shoulder of last man' striker. The sort that has more often than not featured in most sides who get out of the Championship. Just need to find them now and pay for them......
"the best we've been all season is with Coops & Bamba earlier in the season."
The time we weren't winning? We are playing much better now. Bellusci and Wootton are both good enough to play at this level.
People have to remember that it isn't so long ago Cooper was playing for Chesterfield in league 2.
Isint ants contract due to expire come the season end?
That's something that needs to be addressed if it is.
Think we need a bridcutt type player, be it bridcutt or someone else.
I'd love a centreback but with us having four players who can play their think we will look at other areas.
Think we also need a striker.
If Byram goes we need to look at another rightback as beradi bein injured would leave us with only one player in that position.
We need a leftback for Taylor cover as well.
