Riyad Mahrez

That's what i told you before guys...

Your dangers are: Xmas period games and Jan transfer when big teams will throw the dressing room harmony into chaos by making a massive money bids for one or two players.

Things could be getting down right dirty now...The big boys doing their level best to push down Leicester FC.

Ouch

Never in doubt really. Can't see him moving in the summer either if we qualify for the champions league. If he does leave in the summer then we should hold out for £30m at the very least.

His agent says "no"?

That's like when any board says "we are right behind the manager"

That agent will get a big money cut if he can make the deal, he is there to make money?

Money will talk

I think you're just hoping he leaves us rather than think he will. It's similar to when Lawro does his predictions

If mahrez keeps doing what he's doing here it will almost certainly leave only 1 CL place to fight over for all those 'big boys' below us

Pushing the price up....

As I footy fan, I really hope you don't sell any players and keep pushing for European places - no matter what.

It refreshing to the game and most fans are with Leicester

I know though over the years when we did any threatening moves towards CL places, then teams like United would disrupt this by bidding and unsettling our players.

So it's not unheard of.

This the so called Big Boys getting what they see as their right - success bought and paid for - by signing good players from rival clubs, sticking them on the bench and ruining them! Surprised Chelsea have not joined the queue of unscrupulous wreckers. Why would Mahrez go to Manchester United? A joke since Ferguson retired. As for Spurs: impertinence to say the least from London's also rans. Leicester have the foundations to be as good as than any of them. Good owners, good sponsors and a great squad who play for the team. No toys out of the pram with our boys. And who is going to leave when the chance of the Premier League title and Europe is on the table. Perhaps we should offer 10million for Harry Kane. He might welcome returning to a bigger club!

Just saw the comment from Morespurs. A generous attitude. Greatly appreciated. My rather barbed comment was most certainly not aimed at you and other fans with similar views.

Here's a dilemma for you longtime. What if we become one of those clubs in 5 years? Competing at the top end of the premier league and doing so by snapping up young talent from other premier league clubs because we have money.

Some like Kramaric will sit on the bench or not even make it. Even Inler can't get a game. Their careers stifled at Leicester. What then? wouldn't that be success being bought and paid for?

Were Chelsea not like us once before the Abramovic millions came rolling in? Perhaps the new TV deals will change everything and then we will have to get used to behaving like one of the bigger clubs we've despised for years

Sentiments felt longtimefox

If anything, the last few years have taught us these things:

1. Money can buy you temporary success

2. Money can pay off ANY manager

3. Money doesn't pay for desire and team ethic

Also. There's a long way to go in this two horse race this season. Trouble is, Arsenal have already proven their worth against us

posted on 21/12/15

I love saying this right now, if we don't win it. I hope Arsenal do

posted on 21/12/15

2 horse race!? Are man city out of it now being 4 points behind Arsenal in December?

Long long way to go, top 4 positions could change around soon enough

BlackStarr I shall worry about the points you raised when the time comes. In fact I would relish being in that situation! I don't like the way football has been going since the vast amounts of money poured. Let's hope there will be change for the better and Leicester are the catalyst!

Buy-don't sell. How many decades has it been since you were challenging? I believe 75 or so years. I hope he stays and becomes a legend. Players sometime disappear after going to the Madrids, Citys, Chelseas, etc...and should bide their time while enjoying personal and team success.

Can't see any Leicester players leaving in Jan but if Mahrez keeps up this form he will most definitely be gone in the summer to a Spurs or even Lpool.

Giggs in Marhez goes it will be to Barco Utd or PSG imo

posted on 22/12/15

I'm extremely confident we'll keep him for at least another 18 months. We'll qualify for the CL and Spurs and Liverpool won't and why would he leave for either club when they're not as good as us?

He won't got to PSG Nev, he's already said he's not interested in PSG 👍

Next season 42000 seater stadium and CL football, he won't be leaving!

Mate this is exaclty what Ranieri is talking about but not in the next five years, he said next year!

He said maybe people don't think of Leicester at the top this season but next year they will think "oh Leicester, they will be at the top."

We're aiming for CL football every year and any Ranieri interview you hear or read will say that.

This club is going places and the bigger teams aren't going to have anymore pull than us. We can afford to pay the wages, we'll have a big stadium and we'll be playing in the CL.

But you will still be Leicester City.

However you dress it up, Leicester doesn't have the pull of the more famous "big" clubs.

Most good footballers wouldn't have even heard of you this time last year, and now you seem to think you're a footballing powerhouse competing with Man U , Liverpool, Chelsea ,Arsenal, Man City, Spurs etc for players signatures?

It will take four or five years of back-to-back Champions League football before you're considered a "big" club imo.

BTW, not having a go at Leicester at all, just saying it how I see it. I actually hope you win the league if Liverpool can't (which we won't obviously)

It was only yesterday or the day before you predicted you'd finish third and us fourth, what's changed?

Without trying to be a pr!c.k, this is what I meant when I said some of your posts are ridiculous.

I had to filter him for this reason the guy is delusional. Rest of the Leicester bunch on here are good though.

The optimism and slight delusion I can put up with, to be fair Arro is actually being proven right to an extent. It's the inconsistencies and contradictions that I hate.

Sorry typo, it was meant to "we'll qualify for the CL with Spurs and Liverpool won't" 👍 I do think we'll finish 3rd with you 4th so don't get your knickers in a twist but I can see what you mean 😉
