at least lets get rid of some dead wood!!!
I would be disappointed if we didn't sign anyone in midfield
That would be a bonus but all I care about is that Sturridge stays. I honestly believe that if Mata and Sturridge are firing on all cylinders we won't miss a new signing in midfield
come on modric <fingerscrossed>
Not signing Modric is not the end of the world. Dissapointing, yes, but not a disaster
We really need a central midfielder, but disappointed yossi is going on loan though, should be looking to sell him if we are offloading him.
The Blue Kenyan ¡Viva Sturridge! (U1641)
Atm we need a cm playmaker and modric is the best one available
I agree with BK, I think Modric has been over-hyped loads by the media and our own fans, there are much better players out there for cheaper. If its going to cost 40m for him and Sneijder could go for 30-35m I know who I would rather have. Before all the 'they are not the same type of player' business spouts up, who cares? Sneijder is the better player by a country mile and i'm sure he would do a good job for us
Isn't Sneijder demanding like 200k a week in wages if he moves?
It was rumoured he would lower his demands for Utd so don't know if he would for us too but surely it's worth a try. I just don't want Modric. Any player who spits their dummy and goes on strike isn't worth anywhere near 40m, whats to say if we got him then Barca or Real bid for him he wouldn't do the same? Plus he's just not that good imho!! I think Goetze could be persuaded if the right money was involved or maybe Thiago Alcanatra on a cheeky loan deal?
Someone said Yossi only going on loan. If true then its confirmed that our board are really thick. What do we gain from him goin on loan? Sell the guy! Even if we only get 1mil. Dunno why we sighned him in the 1st place. Injury or not, there were much better long term options out there.
and they may even make the same mistake with the signing of Meireles!
Our transfer negotiating team SUCK!!!
Am I the only one thinking that loaning our Yossi is because we have a player ready to come in and just want to make the space for him?
If not then we have really been shown how bad our negotiating team is and hopefully something gets down about it.
Our negotiating team are showing the same type of capabilities as out own government. #fekkinguseless
I agree with the OP.
I would like to see another central midfielder come in if Yossi is leaving but keeping hold of Sturridge is by far the priority.
If Sturridge is still a Chelsea player by the end of today I´ll be happy enough.
Still ia strange one letting Yossi go without replacing him - especially as we were already light in central midifeld.
