City have never been a solid team especially under Pellegrini. They will rack up points by going on a winning run.

I agree, we have to break away

Sorry but i have to ask why you think Spurs don't have enough goals in them when we have a +17 GD compared to your +15 GD 😂

In fact we have scored the same amount of goals as you and conceded less 😂

This really poorly thought out!

You've had the majority of your most potent players fit for the whole season yet we have been in somewhat of an injury crisis for 6 odd weeks now....
Over the course of a season he doesn't believe you have enough, factoring in injuries and bad patches...

I agree with the OP about Spurs who are too similar to united in terms of the make up of the team. It's not about GD per say but how a team is structured. The primary strength of Spurs is defense just like United. City & Arsenal are primary attacking teams.

Everton who have an inferior goal difference to Spurs but have scored all their goals from open play are more likely to score a goal than Spurs as they are set up as an attacking team.

GD is just a stat but tells you nothing about which team finds it easier to score goals.

The only defensive teams to win the premiership in the modern era are mourinho's Chelsea and for me he is a once off in my opinion.

Without checking the stats I'm pretty sure the chances you have created are a tenth of what Arsenal have created all season.

You are a solid and good team but nothing special in attack especially in open play.

We have scored the large portion of our goals from open play and I dare say the stats would prove that a large proportion of your goals are from set pieces as Ozil has got a huge amount from this.

Don't really know where you are getting the teams with a good defence don't win the title as your team in the 80's/90's did just that with one of the best defences I have ever seen in world football.

The way Poch currently has us playing means we can get goals from various positions on the pitch including 4 of our 5 midfielders

We are within the top 5 for chances created behind yourselves, City and Leicester (don't know exact stats without checking but was on sky sports the other day) but not by a significant amount

Don't get me wrong I do like Spurs been written off by pundits and fans as my one worry is the pressure on a young team as well as the classic Tottenham getting ahead of themselves but on the other hand I do believe that with so many teams unsure of what the next result will be regardless of opposition we have as good a chance as any to really mount a challenge

Let's see how you perform in the big games. I know you have beaten city but Everton will tell us where you are. I doubt you will beat them.

Bit of a random comment considering what I said in my previous one about anyone been beatable this season.

I am in now way debating the credentials of us vs any team but instead putting up the case that you cannot write off anyone from Watford if the season thus far is anything to go by

Wasn't it just 2 weeks ago when the Spurs fans were booing their team after Newcastle saw them of? Short memories these clowns.

You can hardly conduct a top 4 race but now you want to claim you are a better team than Arsenal?

The way this league is going. I wouldn't be surprised to see Spurs join as late tittle contenders. Especially if they have luck with injuries and Arsenal and man city remain some what inconsistent. Don't think they'll win it. But they've got a good settled team. Can't rule out that they won't be up there. Think they'll finish 3rd within a respectable distance from the top

And it wasn't so long ago Arsenal fans were fighting each other in the stands after a bad result!

At no point have I claimed Spurs are better than Arsenal or the other way round I am simply pointing out that to suggest the title is a 2 horse race is very short sighted in Dec

Exactly my point! No one knows what will happen this season

Spurs have a great chance of getting in to the top 2/3 in my opinion. Going further in the Europa could hamper them.

Ultimately either Arsenal or City should win it, but unless somebody goes on a huge winning streak then there won't be much in it. January could be very decisive if anybody manages to land a player that can hit the ground running.

The realistic target for spurs is Champion's League football. I have no issue with saying they won't be winning it The GD everyone is on about has only just cropped up due to yesterdays results. Up until yesterday we had the best GD in the league.

Sorry ace but over the course of a season, Arsenal are way better than Spurs and have been for the last twenty-odd years. If the two sides were anywhere near as close as you suggest, then Spurs would have finished above us at some point recently.

Haven't though have they? Every year, year after year, they fall short. Will again this year too. I actually think it's time for Levy to start behaving like a Chairman whom wants to win something. The amount of time you've spent knocking at the door of the top four yet you've still not bought any real Marquee players. Bale was the one and was sold. Until Levy stumps up the cash for Sanchez/Ozil quality players, Spurs will continue to fall short. Quite simply, all the other contenders just have too much firepower for Spurs too compete.

People are always saying that Arsenal are one/two player/s short of a title winning side. I think that applies to Spurs also. Some real quality upfront along with that defence and it could be a whole different ball game.

Europa is something that a few fans seem to have forgotten about. For me it is essentially what rules out United, Liverpool and Spurs from the title race.

I would even go as far as saying Everton are dark horses for a top 4 place.

I'm convinced Arsenal, Leicester and City will make the top 3.
