Can't believe that about Lemmy. That is absolutely gutting!
Will be listening to some Motorhead today.

The Rezillos 78 or 79
Sham 69
Devo
The Damned
Gary Numan Tubeway Army

Great venue....saw many there and a good few stand out...Elton John ( I know but he was okish back then , Sham 69 - I wasnt a punk....stood out like a sore thumb in the queue and Status Quo...not a fan but what a gig for going mental .
Wee footnote....Auld Green who owned the place originally and who it is obviously named after was Jimmy McGrory's faither in law or my old dad talks p!sh
Zeppelin in '72 my most memorable, 3+ hours of blues, folk and rock.
I had quite a mixed list from the Apollo...roughly in chronological order.....Argent, Bad Company, Yes (several times), Hawkwind, Gallagher and Lyle, Chuck Berry, Queen, The Jacksons, Barclay James Harvest, SAHB, ....struggling to remember the rest.
Also saw good bands at the City Halls....including Chick Corea and Return to Forever, Greenslade
not heard of many in Magnums list
All before my time I would guess
Ath
We played Ace of Spades at our wedding disco in Carrickfergus, and folk still talk about it.
I was a rocker I'll n the 80's, and hippy too as I liked hendrix, zep floyd etc along with the likes of motorhead and sabbath.
Love you like a reptile, We are the roadcrew, and Ace of Spades will be rock classics, lol

Lucky boy seeing those bands....Damned, I just can't be happy today, Devo...We are not men, we are Devo, Jam in the tube station or dreaming of Monday.Awesome tunes
Great OP Ath - take 5 mate.
My Green's Playhouse/Apollo list was a follows - all between 73 and 78 (when I left Glasgow for the first time) - David Bowie, Faces (twice), Rod Stewart, Billy Connolly, Wings, 10cc (both line-ups), Elton John. Also saw Supertramp (supported by Chris de Burgh) at the City Hall
I missed Green's but at the Apollo I saw folk like the Stones, Faces, Jam, Undertones, Ian Dury, Rory Gallagher, Van Morrison....

One regret I have is missing out on seeing Rory and the SAHB.
Rory was a terrific live performer. I saw him a few times.
Only time I saw SAHB was at Parkhead! (Supporting The Who.) SAHB weren't really to my taste, to be honest.
My best mate was (and is) a prog/rock fan so bands I saw with him at the Apollo included Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep. The shame!
Was at that Who gig as well, BH, via a windae cleaner's ladder just as the Who came on.

Ath...that requires some explaining
Evening Ath and any Zep fans.
If you missed it, BBC Radio 2 at 6pm featured Led Zeppelin, chatting about the classic songs, times at Hedley Grange formulating Stairway To Heaven, death of drummer boy John B in 1980, when I remember a guy at High School crying and having to go home.
Great tracks such as When the Levvy Breaks too, so give it a listen and chill.
Add
SLF at least twice at the Apollo who were always great live
And the buzzcocks who were shocking
