Usually you talk to people you watched the film with

This is a long running thread where people who enjoy all aspects of the Star Wars franchise discuss things.
Unfortunately not everyone has the freedom from employment to watch it on a Thursday or Friday, so the OP has decided it best for the contributors of this thread to hold off on spoilers and give people a fair chance to see the film.
There is another thread that is clearly marked for spoilers and is TLJ specific. Why can't you just use that?
I assume you are an adult who has mastered the act of restraint?

And surely it is better to talk about it when most have seen it. Otherwise it will be the same conversations over and over again when someone else watches it.

Someone who really doesnt want a star wars film talked about shouldnt be on a star wars thread to day after release

Just watched it.

Based on the OPs scoring chart above I’d say 7.5. Although that is just based on the categories above because I’d never rate it that highly out of 10.

I genuinely fail to see how people are loving this film.

Watching at 11am in 4DX
Should be home by 4ish.

Damn the force is strong in me today.

Where do i start.

I loved it. A couple of things bugged me but overall brilliant.

Snoke was brilliant. His own arrogance blinded him and eventually killed him.
Luke was more than i expected. A Jedi Master.
Even Kylo raised his performance.

I know liking the movie doesnt seem to be popular on this board but i did. Well paced and plenty of twists.

The 2 things that bugged me was we never got to know anything about Snoke.
And Rey's background. Saying she was a nothing from nowhere.

The board is now open for your opinions. Im looking forward to my second viewing on Thursday
