I see no Wo1ve5 fan is arguing when I say that they'd take Tony Pulis as manager in a heartbeat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I wouldn't. A club sells their identity to play a certain way, with him. Allardyce too. Just to sit above the relegation zone.
I would rather take my chances with a more exciting coach and risk failure to advance, than settle for mediocrity. Each to their own though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, you've perfected sitting IN the relegation zone, being above it you find a bit more of a struggle. Your exciting coaches (name one), since God knows when, have been great risk-takers where failure to advance is concerned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They haven't. Our choice of manager since McCarthy has been poor. Never said it wasn't.
However, I would rather take the chance of trying to bring in progressive managers like Leicester and Southampton have, than turn to Pulis or Allardyce. Turning to those two just shows a lack of a long term plan to me and means that a club is content with just avoiding relegation at any cost.
Aries point was that all Wolves fans would immediately swap managers with Albion. I just pointed out that I wouldn't. I am sure you are all very excited at the prospect of playing 6 defenders this weekend though.
And well done Wet Bum on being the official long ball team of 2015, it was on sky this morning!
Since when do any supporters on a football forum have any say in who the club appoints or how they play football?
Keep it real. All we are doing is going along for the ride.

Wolves fans and Igor haven't got a clue how Albion play because they don't watch us. All they're doing is trotting out the same rubbish because it's Tony Pulis.
Wolves have been crap most of the season too.

I see no Wo1ve5 fan is arguing when I say that they'd take Tony Pulis as manager in a heartbeat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I wouldn't. A club sells their identity to play a certain way, with him. Allardyce too. Just to sit above the relegation zone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're 13th, not 17th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would rather take my chances with a more exciting coach and risk failure to advance, than settle for mediocrity. Each to their own though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will settle for mediocrity in the PL for now over being in the Championship any day. Tony Pulis's remit was to keep Albion in the PL pro tem and he's succeeding in that. Good luck with appointing an exciting coach and running a risk, but you risked failure and achieved it in League One without troubling to appoint anyone exciting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our choice of manager since McCarthy has been poor. Never said it wasn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that answers your point about appointing an exciting manager? The most exciting manager out there who's available and might come to Wolves is Nigel Pearson. I think he's a realistic target for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, I would rather take the chance of trying to bring in progressive managers like Leicester and Southampton have, than turn to Pulis or Allardyce. Turning to those two just shows a lack of a long term plan to me and means that a club is content with just avoiding relegation at any cost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And what exactly is Wolves' long-term plan? I really hate to drive home the point that Wolves couldn't even avoid relegation, and whilst no Albion fan can say he's 100% happy at the moment, we would certainly prefer to be where we are with the manager we have than in the Championship with Kenny Jackett.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aries point was that all Wolves fans would immediately swap managers with Albion. I just pointed out that I wouldn't. I am sure you are all very excited at the prospect of playing 6 defenders this weekend though.

I love how Aries just makes everything Albion about Wolves. He ignores everything else and just compares them to us.
He would rather have a team playing mediocre football, finishing bottom half every season, whilst any player with any flair leaves the club and being above Wolves, than trying to be more progressive and emulate what teams that have been promoted since have done and surpassed them. You might be 13th the moment, but you are only 6 points above relegation and could easily get nothing from your next three games and be back in the mire.
I know where Wolves are. You don't need to keep reminding me. However, if we ever get promoted, I would hope we are more ambitious and expansive than Albion, even if that risks relegation. Hiring a manager like Pulis shows that a team is just happy to survive in the short term and having him for a prolonged period results in the loss of any flair players. Palace got rid early after he had done the initial job and before he had gutted the team and managed to build. Stoke took years under Hughes to turn it round and risked relegation when Pulis left. Albion look like they are sitting in for the long run with him. To me that shows a lack of ambition, but if you are happy with that, then good for you.
Tamwolf... Aries is quite correct in what he says. There are 100 million reasons why we appreciate Pulis keeping us in the Premiership although there is no concrete evidence that we would have been relegated anyway.
I would agree his style of football isn't entirely exciting or attractive and I for one would hope the Pulis tenure is not too long.
Whatever you say will not change the fact that West Bromwich Albion are a top tier club whilst Wo1ve5 are a second rate outfit playing in a sub-standard league in a tin-pot stadium with inferior playing staff and unlikely to achieve Premier status in the next decade.
We are without question, the top team in the area and that will not change so Dingles, accept your fate and continue in your mediocre way in mid-table Chumpionship avoiding a return to Div 1.
