So funny seeing them at the bottom. Must be getting a stiff neck looking up the table of all those other teams

Not really, we spent so long looking down, it nice to even it out and give the neck a rest.

Top 8
A rubbish achievement for a rubbish squad.
I said in the summer there was no way players like Costa, Ramires, Hazard etc were going to finish above easily superior players like Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey etc.
But everyone thought Chelsea would finish top
Yeah rubbish players like Costa, Ramires and Hazard would and have never finished below great players like Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey.

Are you being sarcastic, because Sanchez>Costa, Ozil>Hazard and Ramsey>Ramires
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably why they have always finished above them.
Agree with the OP
Chelsea seem to be getting away with less than QPR did last year for example
Sacking the "special one", shambles of players not wanting to play for the manager, Hazard feigning injury to get off the pitch, Terry sh******** all the players wives, and then the "special one" throwing tantrum at the team doctor...Well, really, you couldn't make it up.
Now they went back to a former manager too
Nuts I tell thee
Too much latte and (t) roubles
Terry sh******* all the players wives

Ok, you got there fair and proper squire
Was being lazy but did hear the rumours?
Never the less, nothing excuses my lazyness there...so What did I miss out then?
or what didn't I miss out?
You missed mourinho's mad press conferences and left me very confused as to whether you think his firing was a good or bad decision on our part.

Confused.com?
Don't be....
Because I think...It was a bloody bad decision mate
He is the manager who got you the title only few days ago?
I'd back him up and sold anyone who refuses to pull up their sleeve for the club
I know it would costly to get rid off so many people so instead the club decided to get rid off one guy...Cheaper option but not the right one imo
Should stick with the guy
It's about long term too? I thought that was the plan?
Mourinho said so many times?
Though when the chips were down, the club was gutless
my tow cents, so now you know. What do you think?
No one but no one could have predicted Chelsea's demise this season. From PL champions to relegation material, in what, under five months, that takes some doing. Conspiracies abound as to the reasons, without much, if any, evidence.
That having been said, I expect to still to make top 8, although top 6 might be beyond them. I anticipate quite a considerable clear out of the squad in the summer. Their loan policy - 28 players out playing elsewhere? - defies belief.

Good tactics for me
By doing this, you are giving some experience to a bunch of players you can call on them when you need, without worrying about playing them week-in/out and
When play the loaned out to club, you know your player will not be available to play against you - contract says so
Win-win
All's fair in love and war...in football
It got very difficult to defend mou at the end. Apart from 'he just won the double' excuses ran dry. And people would say 'well so did the players'
I think we got too used to sacking the manager and getting an immediate upturn in fortune. This group haven't got the minerals for it.
Despite my blaming the players I felt mou didn't meet us halfway, he almost behaved like a man who didn't want the job at times. This long term stuff, that ain't gonna happen. Our continuity is our owner and his lackeys (emenalo and granavskoia (sp?))
Not sure I mind that either tbh. We can't be trusted with managers so why give them control of the future. Most clubs can't be trusted with managers tbf.
Back on Chelsea, I don't think us Joe publics know what happened yet. All sorts of shlt flying round suggests speculation. So I suppose should withhold judgement until it all comes out.
Summary? Bad-ish decision. Can see why. But if we don't handle it very well then straight up bad decision. Gonna need the player injection we didn't get in the summer.
Btw our summer. Christ. We actually did buy some players but
Our loan system is just good business. Buy 'em cheap, loan fees, then sale for profit. Offset the crap ones like kakuta against the decent ones like Hazard junior
Gonna need the player injection we didn't get in the summer.

Here's a question to you: where do you draw the line in terms of recruitment policy?
Because as a manager, you need a settled 22 players and this is something everyone knows but how can you settle on your 22 if the squad is being changed all the time?
I think you are referring to Real Madrid model of not looking for continuity in the development of players.
However, Real are on a different level when it comes to recruitment and the Brand, sorry to upset you
With Real, they do change the manager every 2/3 seasons, even after a massively successful season.
That's how they roll.
Chelsea is nowhere near that kind of Brand
Clubs who don't have the same might consider long term policies.
They "invest" in youth and build a team for 2/3 seasons that way.
Right now, I think Hiddink is level headed and well, I don't have to say this, he is wise old fool and he'll steady the Chelsea ship in no time.
Heard somethings from him that already tells me he identified issues and also like the way he distanced himself from that internal crap going on
I do think that a team should be constantly refreshed. On a low level perhaps but it should be a constant thing.
Last season we won the double, we were in a fantastic position for player recruitment - the players we were linked to were mainly in the top bracket because we were much more attractive. Sure you could say 'well we won the league so surely better to grow as a group' but that ignores plenty. For one, we won the league partly by making a couple of astute purchases. For two, our defence has been ailing for some time. We essentially swapped Luis for Rahman () and brought in Dijilobodji (who? me neither) who was there SOLELY to pad out numbers. Then Brana and JT both played every minute of the prem last year and have simultaneously collapsed. I've been predicting JTs demise for years and he kept proving me wrong. Went on longer than I thought he would. Brana, well there's some contract stuff but it really does seem he's not good enough any more. He did play some right shlt last season.
Cahill and Zouma aren't a competent pairing but JT is no longer solid. Azpi is good still but he's the only one back there who can consistently claim to be.
COULDA USED STONES.
I think we have enough to worry about rather than throw stones at Chelsea
They have imploded yes but always were going to under that manager. He never seemed to learn his lessons especially after Madrid. The press turned on him there and before long he was gone. It was his own fault and here it has been the same
His ego gets a bit too big and out of control and he then can't take it when someone criticises
With the resources available at Chelsea he could of built something and taken the longer term view but he did what he always does. It will happen at the next club and the one after that, its just how he is
People can either learn from previous mistakes and grow up or continue to carry on been an idiot
Football is a wonderful game populated by morons who on the playing & management side get too much for too little or work on the media side and have to write / talk drivel whilst foolish fans lap it up. The copy & attention given to certain nonsense stories is a complete embarrassment to common decency
This year I hope for a better level of journalism and better behaviour by players / club management & officials
