Jose will join United. Its obvious. He wanted the job when moyes got it.

Didn't Jose just say he won't go back? (not that he's beyond hypocrisy, just that I thought he did say it)

All those papers are quoting the Sun

Aye, but if they thought it was bs they wouldn't be reporting it at all, Paul Jiggins (The Sun) covers United quite a bit so I think that's why they're going with it.

That said, Simeone doesn't speak English so I'm not sure how that would work...

Simeone is a top manager but the fact he has never managed or played in the PL is an issue as is the fact he can't speak English. But the the same thing would have been said about Poch going to Saints although the pressure there is far less.

It's a risk but like I said he is a top manager so if he could be brought in and allowed to settle then he could work.

I'm sure that the fact Atletico fans love Simeone before he was even manager has an effect on the way he manages there too. He's a very passionate man who clearly loves the club back. Not really sure if he would have that same affection for other clubs?

I read this the other day. Paul Jiggins doesn't write that often on United (unless sticking the knife in).

He does contribute many of the 'comic' articles in The Sun though. So I'd take this article with a pinch of salt. Had another journalist wrote it, it would probably been a different manager being the one to take over.

Last week The Sun had articles for 3 or 4 days about Mourinho being on the verge of being appointed manager.

They are probably a bit miffed it didn't happen, so just made something up. Or Paul Jiggins made something up. He's not a likeable person. Not because he's a poor journalist. But because he's a fat ginger.

Like the fact that even with the poor state we're in the club still didnt bow down and lower its image for Mourinho.Says alot about how the club views him.

The best choice is probably Pochetino. IMO he's gonna be the next big manager. Been saying it since last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree. We should also get Kane.

In sorry, got to laugh at this comment considering we are considering appointing the sister in law sh@gging Mr superinjunction himself. Hardly squeaky clean image wise.

When LVG fails and Pep goes to City I wonder who will come in and manage us properly.
-------
My gut feeling is we will get Pep.

Baz you have a point. But in saying that, Giggs hasn't guided clubs to League or champions league titles, so therefor, Jose still has the (massive) upper hand.

The fans will hate someone, if they think our football is bad. He is the kind of 1-0's
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Also he is very negative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Competing against Madrid and Barcelona, think he has done very well. With the money we have, I doubt very much he will deploy that system with us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't play against Barca or Madrid every week, and he still gets 1-0 wins more often than not.

Brilliant defensive manager, and a great motivator. It's worth remember how good the Atletico scouting system is as are their transfer team.

That is true but I prey United dont go from LVG to Giggs.I'd like to think United are abit more smarter than that.

No, I was saying Pochetino a year ago..

Koeman is a good manager - I don't know if you saw but his side beat Arsenal 4-0 last week. Can't remember the last time an LVG side scored 4 in the PL.

He's just suffering because his club keep selling his best players.

Id like to hope so too, although I have a bad feeling they might do something stupid.
