Arro, re "needing to sell", the concept of 'need' is totally relative. Despite next season's windfall, you still won't be in a position to compete in the transfer market with the big hitters.

From that perspective, taking big money on a player who's having the season of a lifetime is far from a ridiculous proposition. Take the money that could well buy you 3 players of proven quality, use your scouting nextwork to maximum effect, and continue to build with an eye to establishing a stronger platform for the long-term.

As it is, you might be in a position to compete with the division's middle class, but if you want to aim higher you'll need to target sustainable growth.

Cashing in on Vardy while the going's good can help that aim.

He's a decent bloke I'm sure but unless you accept that Vardy and Mahrez are the best players in Europe and that Leicester are the wealthiest club in the world, then he will keep posting the same rhetoric day in, day out until you do
