I think Charlie Austin might be more realistic

I'd like to think Austin could reproduce his best form in a Leicester shirt but why haven't the big boys snapped up such a prolific goal scorer? - He is a bit injury prone and that's some investment in a player who might not spend much time on the pitch

Plus of course he's staying at QPR till the end of the season.

Not a good sign I'm glad he's wearing a light blue City shirt and not a royal one, what a waste of £28m was it? Ha ha

I really like that he's showing loyalty and not jumping at the first PL team to show some interest! It proves not all players are driven the same!

I'd eventually love him to come and hopefully in the summer for nowt when it wont be any kind of gamble

Arro - he's not showing loyalty. Warnock confirmed that he's fallen out with QPR because they wanted too much money and stopped him moving to a prem club in the summer. As such he is now happy to play cat and mouse with the club and potentially wind down his contract meaning they earn nothing.

He was fuming they wouldn't let him go in the summer apparently

I'd love to see Messi and Suarez here but it won't happen.

Apparently austins preference is Palace. Hope that's wrong

Also I don't really trust (or want) a player that leaves decent clubs where they're doing well to go to a big / rich club knowing that their going to be on the bench.

I heard he was happy to stay and help them get promoted again.

yep but Warnock threw that out the window a week ago by saying he was upset over not being allowed to leave.

Do keep up

Why would Austin demand a move in January when he can pick and choose who he wants in the Summer. I can't see him rushing to sign a new contract with QPR.

It's really only in QPR's interest to force through a move - or risk losing out on a significant amount of cash on their most valuable asset.

Joby, this is exactly why Austin is now playing cat and mouse as confirmed by Warnock.

In the summer, QPR held all the cards and asked for stupid money. We offered £12m and considering his medical history they turned it down. Austin was apparently not happy.

Now he's more than happy to screw QPR over and have his pick of prem clubs in the summer

Pardew said earlier this week he has no interest in signing Austin in response to reports that Warnock apparently told Austin to sign for Palace

posted on 9/1/16

I certainly hope pardew is being 100% honest but I've heard managers say that before Miami. Don't be surprised if he ends up at palace in the summer

Well according to Warnock he's making it difficult for QPR to offload him, they're his words not mine.

I wouldn't believe everything a player says to the camera, I'm sure Austins no.1 priority is Charlie Austin, not QPR

BS's version does seem the most likely here.

He can stay and QPR and try and get them promotion. If they make it then he can sign a new contract in the PL.

If they don't get promotion then Charlie Austin can pick his best offer from any interested PL clubs in the summer.

Meanwhile QPR are left gambling between promotion and PL football or potentially losing £10m of funds that would help a promotion push next season if they miss out.

Not sure Bony would fit into our game. He's got a cracking shot but he's not going to press with the team in the same way Benteke doesn't at Liverpool. If we want to push on I'd be after Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen, he's quick, two footed and would be a great foil for Vardy - they could interchange in games between playing as a 9 and 10. He's also very good in the air for a small player, something we miss when playing Okazaki.
