Second String?

Exactly, and it gives the other players a chance, players need game time

I agree. I enjoy watching our second team play as much the first because I get a first hand insight into what the other players can offer and how they fare in competitive games. Mauricio did the right thing, we're still not out the cup. Worst comes to the worst, our second team will battle it out with theirs once more

Arsenal will win the league city are all over the place and you actually have 3 world class player in your team now Ozil, Sanchez and Chech, leader that won;t let it slip like past times... I said between my mates Arsenal would win it this year wish I put money on it... And as a Liverpool fan if anyone deserves a title is Arsenal and special Wenger because in the cash crazy league we have no he has run your club so well in terms of building a stadium, staying in the CL consistently and having cash reserves one could only dream of, when he retires Arsenal will be in a far better position that Man United were in when Alex Ferguson left.... Respect for a great manager and a well run football club..

Was an ok team today...but short of match fitness from a few of the players and a striker who can replace Kane, whether like for like or alternative style, aside from that, there was enough to get over the line today.

Two 'second string' teams, and one of them was robbed by a harsh penalty at the end.

Nope...or even if they are, couldn't see him going.

i wouldn't be so sure as good as spurs are just now think with the status and spending power of united it would be a hard one to turn down for him..

Yeah that's fair...but also think he's taking quite a bit of pride in what he's building currently and the players he's bringing through.

From his point, at an early coaching stage in his career, he'd be foolish to throw that away for a job that he can just throw money at.

From a fans point, he's at a club that is going somewhere (better team/squad/new stadium/best training facility in the league/great youth system) wpuld like to think a young coach would see ir through.

He seems ambitious, but also happy with what he can build with us. I suspect he'd be happy staying where he is for now.

One newspaper published an article saying this, but I'm fairly sure he'll be our manager next season, and he did well in his first season to finish 5th, another top 5 finish is likely to happen. He's building up a good squad of players and will be wanting to improve on that during the summer.

OP

At least there will be no excuses for not beating Leicester in the league on Wednesday, now the reserves have had their run out. First team have had a rest, so certain three points.

And with no Europa League games for a while, at least cup replays will keep up the two games a week workload going.

lesta first team rested too though sandy, so its an irrelevant point.

do you ever understand anything ?

So let me get this right Spurs rested all their first team, so that they could then perhaps play against Leicester First XI in the prem. Your a clever bunny.

Unless Spurs win then it would have been a completely pointless excercise. Even Chelsea played their first XI yesterday against Scunthorpe at home, they now do not have another cup game to clog up the already busy calendar at this time of the season. Makes complete sense. Win the game first time, then the players can have a rest next week. Whilst Spurs will be hard at it again.

Sports science is working well. Swap Europa league games for cup replays.

sandy wtf are you on about? what you don't seem to understand is that you seem to be guaranteeing that if we had played total first team we would have won the game. doesn't work like that.
