Sorry Sizzle didn't see you had put up article same time. Great loss to music.
Hugely talented and a genuinely original artist. RIP Bowie.
Inspirational artist to a whole generation, he owned the 70,s plus

I was never a fan of Bowie, but he was of course the original glam rock star. May he rest in peace!🌹
Shocking news, but that's a testament to a man who handled his illness with the same dignity as he did for much of his life.
I can't pretend I was a fan of all his work, but that's what made him who he was. His ability to shed one persona and step into another, whilst changing his musical direction was incredible. In doing so he managed to stay relevant and appeal to different groups of listeners over such a long period. Ziggy was the period that really did it for me, though I have absolute respect for his entire work.
The terms legend and icon are bandied around far too often but in this case they are fitting. RIP
This reminds me that Steve Irwin and Paul Walker died

Absolutely stunned to see this as I got into work.
There must have been a hell of a rush on to try and get the Blackstar LP out before the possible end.
There is only one way to understand the genius that his body of work spanned :

I believe the album was released to coincide with his birthday so it was probably in the can some time ago.
Just turned 69, these days that's still young

Its been a sad couple of weeks what with first Lemmy Kilmister and now David Bowie both succumbing to the big C.
RIP
I'm to young for the David Bowie era as such but obviously still know his songs and recognise him
as an absolute icon and a legend. I grew up as a kid in the late 80s and the Labyrinth was one of my favourite child hood movies. Rip the goblin king
