It really is a joy to watch us under LVG ain't it Hafi, those passes in our own half, stunning.
................
my stats prove Man Utd have least percentage of touches in defensive third and most touches in attacking third of the normal top teams like Arsenal Man City Chelsea Liverpool Tottenham Hotspur etc.

Hafi, our midfield was pretty mediocre in that 2011 final, given the sheer quality of the opposition. If you want to say Ferguson let our midfield deteriorate, you will get no argument from me. I even alluded to it above and I credit Van Gaal with giving us a midfield selection I like.

Van Der Saar should have saved Messi and Pedro's goals, to be fair.

It wasn't great keeping by his standards. Had no chance with Villa's that was ridiculous.

Our problem is we don't have good enough strikers or strikers who are still learning. We should have topped CL group with 83 shots for and 41 against.but we scored 7 and conceded 7. We had over double the shots at OT then the opposition but we rarely score goals.

The man-of-the-match award went to visiting goalkeeper David De Gea, who kept the Magpies at bay throughout and stood tall when they came knocking in the final minutes.
.............
He was a spectator for virtually the whole game while Krul did probably about 4 saves of the season in one game and made us miss a one on one by making himself big so Rooney clipped it wide and when we finally beat him with a 3yd onside goal it was disallowed

If that was on Fifa Krul would have got a 10/10 and DDG a 5/10 as he didn't have much to rate himself on.

We don't have good enough strikers, or wingers or manager. That's our problem.

posted on 11/1/16

Then again a Newcastle United defender got man of the match at OT this season despite Krul saving about 6 one on ones

If I worked for LVG I would tell him to let rip at these things in the media in a calm and factual way. Its nonsense. I can see it now on bitter sports 8 shots 1 on target Newcastle United Man Utd 30 shots 12 on target. Newcastle United 0-1 Man Utd. DDG MOTM where would man utd be without him.

You are actually Van Gaal.

Read all of Hafi's posts in an LVG voice.

Now go listen to an LVG post match interview.

It's uncanny

I'm starting to think LVG reads Hafi's posts in an LVG voice...

We were spoilt under Ferguson that what we considered rubbish under him most would cream their pants under LVG.

Expectations are so low that Heisenberk is happy to eat dogsh-t as well as write it.

bless you, still upset that i dared to say fergies football was boring at the end

grow up

posted on 11/1/16

We know Fergie's football started to become a bit stale towards the end.

But it's no comparison with the shiiiiiiit we've been serving up under Van Gaal.

I doubt he knew the team a month before given the rate of injuries we started to get.

Really? I thought that was quite a good game, though maybe it was just the tension. For some reason, Leicester away was the game that bored and depressed me the most.

To be fair I found it exciting like a chess match, 1st half we defend, 2nd half man city defend. In terms of goalmouth action it was the least we have been involved in this season though in total for and against. We had 3 near misses 2nd half.

CSKA Moscow away was pretty dire. We seemed to settle for a poijt

posted on 11/1/16

In 2009 when we claimed the consecutive clean sheet record we kept winning 1-0, that could be seen as dire. I wanted the record so was loving it, but that was surely more boring than all the 3-2 scorelines in 2013?

Not as bad as now though, no chance.

Only 2005 comes anywhere near the last three years really.

Let's ignore that fergie had the more settled team with players in their prime who had been together forever. Actual entertaining football was a figment of most of our imagination with welbeck and giggs faffing around only for an inform rvp or even Rooney come in and knock in a half chance. Just who exactly can knock in a half chance in this line up?

All just stroking each others cuckks to somehow prove a point. We do not have a goal scorer. Keep ignoring it if you must to sustain your stupid song and dance. Lvg only mistake and one I do not think is his control is not getting a better striker than Rooney and benching him.

We don't even make half chances in this line up.

Silly lie. I remember your bed fellow donkey fro missing a few from 6 yards. That's not even a half chance and missed those... Twice in one game if I am not mistaken.

Were are the cracking goals? Were brilliant finishes. People act like they forget those games where rvp would volley in ridiculous impossible chances in a game that would have been 0-0 othwrwise .

Look. All your hopes of being proven right (because that's more important than the real issues of the team) is pinned on us not getting a half decent scorer in. Keep hoping for it.

posted on 12/1/16

Nah a lot of those 1-0's were only 1-0 due to some really awful finishing.

Berba, Tevez, Rooney and even Ronaldo were missing sitters on a regular basis.

The scorelines didn't reflect the football we were playing. It was a lot better than what we're seeing under Van Gaal.
