I'd be inclined to think that the man with a professional team of analysts who actually would benefit from the stats being positive but are honest in their assessment are more accurate then a maybe wum on Ja606.

Yes we don't create as much like the SAF days but we still create over double the opposition usually like 83 shots in Champions League 7 goals for vs 41 shots against and 7 goals conceded.

I assumed he meant areas of the pitch, like just outside their box and then actually inside it. But it could be something more temporal than spatial - the moment where you try to turn possession into penetration.
