He was being talked about as the best CM in the PL last season so what happened to him over the summer I have no idea.

Kidnapped and cloned maybe ?

Out of all the players who maybe should be sold Matic for me is pretty low on the list. Yes half a season of bad performances doesnt look good but out of most our under performaners I would say he is most likely turn it around. Very different from say Oscar who has managed 2 performances in 3 years, or pedro who just seems to be a complete mistake.

Haven't we all already taken it for granted that Oscar and Pedro will be sold this summer? Heaven help us if they're not.

Agree that Oscar and Pedro should go.

I stand behind the decision that Mata needed to go BUT Oscar should have grown as a player by now and he fooking hasn't and for me that is incredibly disappointing as he could have done so if it wasn't for his attitude.

Pedro... All he's done is help get that win at WBA and that's pretty much it!

Oscar, Pedro and Matic should not be starting for us next season.

Oscar Hazard and Costa to be sold.

Cesc has to stay. He's the only one who plays the ball forward to that useless CF we have.

I have many worries for the summer. People expecting the new manager to come in and there to be a seamless transition with us competing for the major honours next season are slightly deluded IMO.

Firstly it looks like we're getting a new manager. Who knows how long that will take. Then he'll come in and have to assess the squad in pre-season before any major business is done. This is a worry because its obvious we need wholesale changes and waiting until August is not advisable.

Also there's the worry of players we don't want to sell wanting to leave. Yes we all want the likes of Oscar and Pedro gone, but what if Courtois and Willian want out for example? What about Azpi? Who could blame them for wanting to leave a club in chaos for a 'finished article' team in the CL and competing for their domestic title?

It's not going to be easy and clubs are going to inflate transfer fees for us as they know we are desperate. Tough times ahead.

Compare that to if Jose was still in charge. He'd know exactly who to sell and who to buy and sort this mess out before pre-season even began. But nah, Roman and the board had to press the panic button again.

posted on 17/1/16

But this is Jose's mess in the first place. What on earth has he done to the squad to let it get into this mess? and why should he be allowed to fix his own mess?

This is not Jose's mess at all. The board failed to give Jose funds at the start of the summer to get in two or three players to keep things fresh and add competition to the team to stop players getting complacent. If we had gone for Stones earlier in the summer rather than pissssing Everton off by bidding when the season had virtually started, maybe we could have signed him. And even if we couldn't it would have given us enough time to sign an adequate replacement. Ending up with Papy Tnebe is an absolute disgrace.

There is an excuse for not signing our primary targets, but there is no excuse for failing to sign an adequate back up. Papy Tnebe is not an adequate back-up option. There has been a failure in our transfer business this summer and the blame for that should be placed at the hands of Emenalo.

Who are we going to be able to attract without the lure of the CL though

Just hope we really fleece Real for Hazard

The point being that Jose was not given funds until after the season had started and the club began to panic. Unacceptable from the board.

Even teams who have just won the treble need to make a couple of signings to keep things fresh.

I don't think this is solely Mourinhos mess nor is it his completely, I think whoever deals with the transfers fooked Jose over in the summer and he ended up with a panic bought Pedro.

Then Mourinho asked them for money in Janaury and then he had to tell the press "I believe in these players to get us out of this mess"

Jose isn't an idiot and the board not giving him the power to change this squad left his position completely untenable.

Th club fooked Jose and in turn we have to watch these "players" week in week out. This team is gash and its like Obers said, I am dreading where we go from here... Remember before we got Jose in 2013? We weren't competing at all and he comes in and the second season we win the league.

I hope I'm wrong, but we are further away from winning the league compared to how we were after the champions league win.

We are in serious trouble and this is just the beginning... I would say fasten your seatbelt but we've already fallen out the car and are scraping down the road at 80mph heading for the cliff....

Kick Oscar and Ivanovic out

Sign Gundogan and a decent rb who doesnt run away from the ball

Send Costa to Atletico plus money for Griezmann

Can I just add that Oscar is an absolute disgrace. Plays absolute rubbish all season, no effort, slow passing, barely any closing down. Then the game after Jose is sacked decides he wants to run the game putting in an Iniesta-esque performance, and has the audacity to hit the badge after he scored the penalty.

This coming from arguably our most important player in the number 10. If he decides he doesn't care then as a team we are fecked. No pressing, no quick passing. Oscar is a disgrace and the ultimate rat.

The backheels which he did in that game after Jose? The flicks? Disgrace. Never wanted him at the club! Cant believe we got rid of Mata for this fraud.

I wouldn't be sad to see oscar go. The way he played after Jose was sacked then the next game goes back to being a grade A useless fook is disgusting.

He'll rot in the French or Spanish league somewhere hopefully..

I hope he knows how much the fans hate him the little twaat.

He's a player who shirks responsibility. Never looks for the ball, never calls for it, never looks to do anything meaningful with it, never looks to drive forward. Useless player. Cant wait till we get rid.

Shameful from the fans to give Oscar an ovation when he was subbed that game, and then decide to boo Costa (a player who I believe has given everything all season). What's he meant to do if 2 of the 3 players behind who are meant to create for him decide they don't wanna show up?

On a positive note... Fabregas has been better and in the Scunthorpe game you could see he was telling people to move and play quicker which was refreshing and positive to see!
