Start him. No one else

Giroud must start.

Usually I wouldn't mind opting with Theo as I enjoy the teams tempo and dynamics when he's up front, however he's horribly out of form at the moment, and his all round game has been poor since he last scored vs City.

Also Giroud has started to build a decent record against the big teams over the past year or so, and has ultimately proved to be the superior forward this season scoring from both starting and bench appearances.

Get this off our board now, Dont want to be associated with such drivel from a nothing club. everyone hates the gooners

Walcott has been shocking since his return from injury.

Starting Giroud is a complete no brainer.

Cech

Bellers mert Boss Nachos

Elneny Ramsey

Campbell Ozil Sanchez

Giroud

Is what I would like to see if they all fit.

Why doesn't Theo get the same level of stick as Giroud, who has been heads and shoulders above him this season?
If Alexis comes back, Theo drops to the bench. In fact it would be better to drop him to reserves for a couple of weeks.

I don't really see what other option we have, although admittedly Giroud was pretty dreadful against Stoke.

Walcott has blown hot and cold, but since the Man City game, he has been totally anonymous and I'm not actually sure what role he is supposed to be playing.

I only think we should start Walcott if we line up like:

---------------Cech-------------------
Bellerin--Kos---Merts---Monreal
-----------Elneny---Ramsey--------
Sanchez------Ozil-------Campbell
----------------Walcott------------------

Ever seen Eleny play, Pires The Master?

Watch the game again and then comment

Not going to lie, I haven't watched every Basel and Egyptian game but from the few times I've seen him he looked like he shields the defense well and can get a counter attack going or move the ball forwards, not like Arteta with his side or back passes every time.

I did watch the game. If I hadn't, why would I have commented about his performance? Bizarre post.
Anyway, Shawcross did get away with murder at times, but I also felt there were occasions where he could have been stronger. He didn't hold the ball up well and Shawcross kept harrying him when he had his back to goal. We knew that was going to happen beforehand, though.

I think we will have the same arguments regarding Theo well into his 30's. He really does not deserve to lead the line and with the emergence of JC his bench material.

If someone came in with a good offer for Theo in the summer I would get rid. Same applies for Ox. Just t opinion though as I know lots on here still rate them highly

Normally, I would agree, but his pace could be important in exploiting Terry's lack of mobility. Giroud has had a decent season so far, but he's always been well-marshalled against Chelsea. They know how to keep him quiet.

Think time is right to get rid if these two don't pull their socks up now till end of season. Only problem is the home grown thing

I'd rather see a Giroud , JC combo, Terry will have his hands full with both it we can muster up some kind of midfield lol

Amazing how quick opinions can change.

When Theo was leading the line through the middle he was the "answer" as we cut teams apart including probably our best attacking performance of the past few years against a United side that had been very solid up until then.

3 months later he needs to be sold because he's never been good enough

That's Arsenal fans for you. As soon as a player has a bad patch, let's sell him

Players that's fans have wanted to sell

Walcott
Wilshere
Giroud
Cazorla
Ramsey
Ox

Cech's commanding presence has earned 44 points in saves alone.

Giroud or Walcott, now then let me have a think !

posted on 18/1/16

Walcott does not deserve to start, let alone play up front.

Defo Theo, to give Chelsea a chance.
