I'll wait and see who is playing and see if I want to watch them or not. If I feel it's value for money for my tenner then i'll go. Simple.
Now that Burton Albion ,under the astute management of Nigel Clough look like making the Championship, he could do worse than make a move in that direction.

We will see, still a long way to go this season and whilst you 'd have to be a complete Muppet not to get Burton from the position he inherited he's never once looked like getting a team promoted in the football league
666 I thought your best mate and his best mate Nigel Clough would take him on at Burton Albion

He's never managed a team to promotion at any level, has he...?
Just to add that insurance payments will have covered Barks during the period of time that he was injured for. He will also get a substantial payment from the insurers due to the injury cutting short his career. It's a bit like critical illness cover to the rest of us 🤕🤕
One thing is an absolute nailed on certainty and that is the 'astute' Mr Clough will not be at Burton Albion for 10 years this time around.
Back to the point, I think the giving Barks a testimonial further goes to show what a tremendous Club DCFC is. It perhaps isn't the sort of thing that other Clubs would do, but that is what sets us aside. They have genuine class, as the Hartlepool Chairman said.

I've had on good authority no insurance money was paid for Barker hope that helps
Probably why he was given a 2 year contract extension whilst injured
this sets the bar for every player that makes just over 100 games over six years , a lot of them about , I wonder what they think . Just saying
Hardly a shock but game against the dogs still on 19th of March, time moved to 12.30pm for television coverage.
Are you coming to that Igor? Would be good to meet up for a beer again?..
Reluctantly I have to agree with 666 on this one. When it comes to being a berk though he is still very much in credit.
Sure am Baz, I'll be 50 on the 16th so gonna make a weekend including Friday out of it.
Nice one Igor!
I'm 50 this year too, June. Would be great to see you for a beer or 2 over the weekend .
I agree with 666 on this. He was always injured before he had his last injury. He's milked the club for wages, then moaned about the club not renewing his contract when he thought he was fit enough. What other industry could you work for where you spend your 1st 2 years repeating going sick then coming back to work then going off sick again then coming back and then within 3 months of coming back you end up off sick for another 3 years. Testimonials are for 10 years service to a club, he's nowhere this. I reckon Branko Struper is unlucky not to get a testimonial. Why isn't it announced as a charity game with the proceeds going to a worthwhile cause

Sorry for being the voice of reason Slim Shady
Still no talk of donating proceeds: can somebody please obtain an ostrich egg such that there may be sufficient goo to slather over some of Peeder's chins and jowls?
Thanks in advance
I offered to pay £30 for 2 adults and 2 children instead of the £20 bring asked, if my £30 went to real Heros in need. I was prepared to donate £30 to help the Heros. My offer has been turned down presumably because my money isn't going into Barkers back pocket.

Never thought it'd go anywhere else, Griff
Did Micky Forsyth (9 years, 402 games) get a testimonial, or will this be his first...?
Genuine ask, don't remember it.
I don't recall Bruce having a testimonial, no.
He didn't make 10 years st the club, or slag the club off when he left.
Did Branko Struper get 1?
You could have your lad be a flagbearer and meet the players, Griff
He'd have to have the full kit mind, but after that it'd only cost you £100... Bargain.
Are there no depths Barker won't stoop to?
