Papa 😅 Fair play to Johansen today who did have a great game, likewise GMS. That said, like I say, one good match in 30 does not a good player make 👍
Virginia, of course it doesn't, everyone has quite rightly slated Johansen and Ronny for him not performing and for him playing in a position he's very average at but the past few weeks in my opinion he's been looking better, still not great but to me he's a confidence player and if he keeps improving again then that'll do me
GMS looking back to his best is almost like a new signing too, when we have width we are a different side, for me we can only play one of Commons or Armstrong on the wing, preferably Armstrong as he offers more for me but GMS offering pace and ability on the other side makes the difference, fair play to him and Ronny for getting him back in the team
All this "Allen should start" talk.
Nothing I've seen on his substitute appearances have made me think "thank God you're on, what a game changer"
He can pick as pass superbly but I've not seen enough for me to say he should start ahead of Rogic or Johansen. Clearly Deila feels the same seeing him in training each day

Curly, I'll give the manager credit when he wins meaningful games. So far he's flopped in Europe badly and those are the games really talking about. Without going over old ground, the league is pretty meaningless when Rangers are not in it.

However as for selecting a player for the Central AM role. Who would I pick out of a player who has won POTY playing in that position or a player who hasn't stood out as exceptional in sub appearances?
I go for the POTY. I wouldn't have him in the DM role. I wouldn't have Allen in DM either.
However I'm not as big a fan as you. I don't have Celtic TV or a Celtic tattoo.

You did mention him right there you tool! Apparently you're the only one who rates him mate. Perhaps you should read some of the thoughts on here or some of the blogs or listen to radio Clyde becausw not one person has defended him. He's been terrible and he was POTY last season btw, we're 22 ges into this season and he's probably been our worst player!
And again, forgive me for living in another country. Perhaps you ate loaded mate and can afford to send me some money to fly to Parkhead every other week. U til then I'll watch games on Celtic TV.
And Curly, yes I would have criticized him but ultimately I wouldn't have been too disappointed because we can't win every game all season in the league, we will lose a few. But we will win the league by 20 points so it won't matter. Europe is where it counts.

Curly, are you a Celtic supporter all of a sudden? 😅 I can't believe a Rangers supporter coming on here and disagreeing with me that the league is a foregone conclusion? Yes it was meaningless game FFS. The league is a marathon and not a sprint. We can afford Ro lose a few games and it won't matter.
And for the record I didn't slate him for winning the last 2 games. I praised the team. I'm just not delusional like some Celtic supporters into thinking we are all of a sudden a great team. We're not. We are average. We were shown up in Europe and will be again next season with Ronny in charge.
No game is meaningless unless the title is already won or lost. Tens of thousands of people pay good money and often travel far to watch their team. I've yet to read on here any Celtic fan who thinks we are an amazing team. Many of us though love the attractive style of play when we get it right - it's a breath of fresh air.

No league or cup game is meaningless, ffs we play in Scotland and I for one want to win the league way more than some half ersed run in Europe, we wont win a European competition anytime soon or in my life tiem instance
We PLAY IN SCOTLAND, winning that league should be first and foremost every season, I enjoy Europen fitba but it is a pleasant distraction fck all else
We are not a European superpower but we can win the league, what is wrong with that?

Not content with making a bit of a mess of it the other night, you've now done the same again today.
Johansen has had a poor season, but he's played well in his last 3-4 games. Your obsession with Allen is borderline stalking. Similar to as has been said, he's done very little in his sub appearances to merit such a high standing.
I read today that Celtic have been in Europe after Xmas 6 times in the last 36 years-and they've all been since 2002/03!!
All this talk about having higher aspirations than others, etc is a load of tosh.
