I understand the sentiment, but bringing Becchio back now wouldn't be a step forward.
No way would Becchio be a step forward.

I've got a spare one mate. It's on the house

Anybody that wants Becchio back is a bloody idiot.
A lot of critcism for this post, so I have 1 simple question:
When did any of you last see Becchio kick a ball?
I don't necessarily disagree, just asking?
Jonny, a saw him week in for us back in the day and thought he was a good hold up player but lacked pace.
Now he's failed to hardly get a game for Norwich and hasn't shon when on loan.
He's getting on and injury prone.
I can't sit here and says he's barely the player he was, but equally how many of us have consistently studied the new lad from Brentford in great detail?
Inevitably we have to make a call based on Championship successes.
For me, we need proven Championship class who have proved it recently who cover key areas.
Dave -Provide the midfield drive we haven't had since Austin
Someone like Bamford, however unlikely, was excellent at Boro last season and is at the age to push on. He would work well with Wood. As would have James Wilson.
I understand Yorkie.
I think many of our fans have a sour grapes like attitude towards him. Loved him when he was with us, setting up Beckford time after time, then scoring goals post Beckford and doing his bit on defense then proclaiming him to be a donkey when he left.
I liked him and thought he was a committed Leeds United player. Cannot opine if we should have him back or not as I have not seen him since he left us..
I thought he was good for us mate. Not perfect by any means but a good option upfront.
I just think he's not the sort of player we should be looking at.
I have no sour grapes towards him. I think Warnock forces him out.
However he's 32 now and he's barely played recently. We can't afford the time to get him match fit. By the time he's match fit he'll be nearly 33. I always said when he was with us that he'd struggle to get into another Championship team as they wouldn't play to him like we did.
It would be a very poor signing, one that would put a damper on a very good Leeds career.
