Right now I would take literally anyone other than Martinez, if the result against City goes against us this week then he surely will go. I don't see how he can continue.
But only a short while ago we were told that Martinez is the best young manager in the league
You can have lvg. Just so I don't have to watch him at Utd.
Why would Mark Hughes leave stoke for Everton?

A short while?? More like two seasons ago. But like most bitter reds you don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Well done glenghis.
Eddie Howe would be a good fit for you. A gamble but a sensible choice.
Good shout on Eddie Howe.
They won't sack Martinez though.

David Moyes is available

I'd probably take him back too
RB has to go. The record speaks for itself. He has all this talent at his disposal and still fooks it up.
It needs to change and it starts with him.
The whole league seems to be having problems with defending these days.

Said from the start of the Martinez out rumblings from the fans who were happy to sing his name not so long ago that Howe was the only man in the PL I would want/we could afford

You also wanted martinez, I would have happily got rid of him last season. Howe has done a excellent job at Bournemouth but don't think he is the man for us.
Were you happy in his first season or did you always know ......
Hindsight and all that?
I did want Martinez, he kept Wigan in the league with the smallest budget and played good football.
He has to get a result on Wed or the pressure is on, but two errors today(well one a deflection) is not his fault.....is it??
I posted on 27th May 2013..."No No No, to Martinez"
People disagreed;that was their prerogative, but i still stand by my opinion.
Similarly, i would not like to see Howe appointed as sucessor.
No, i have no real positive comments to make as to who he should be replaced by, and perhaps, that is a true indication as to the dearth of genuine Managerial talent available. I hope i am proved wrong and that a solution is found in early course.

Nope his first season was impressive, although like I said last season, I think a lot of that was down to the fact the players still had some of moyes defensive mentality. Fingers crossed for Wednesday
Well more fool the players who have lost that defensive edge under Martinez then. If you are a professional then your main attribute shouldn't slip
He has a great squad of talented players. Most either his signings or promoted and trusted in the first team. I fear what would happen if he was pushed with these players??

I don't disagree that the players have to take some responsibility, but as far as being fearful of what would happen to the players. The players would still be under contract, would they not?
Yeah, contracts are a powerful thing that ensure players stay for their full duration.
Today's game didn't help that two key from the first 11 went out injured and Martinez took a gamble resting Jagielka.

I don't think contracts are as powerful as maybe they once we're, but did you not say about stones when Chelsea wanted to buy him "that he is under contract"? Plus let's be fair we are not judging Martinez on today's game alone (well at least I know I am not)
I believed the club when they said he was under contract and won't be sold.

So it doesn't matter who the manager is, if the club repeat this stance?
For what it's worth, I can see players leaving this summer what ever happens. Hope I am wrong but that's what I think.
Should get Moyes back.
In fact you should have given him plenty of money to spend so he didn't leave in the first place.
Reckon you'd be in and around top 4 by now.
