Sandro looks a decent option.
Looks like Berahino's not leaving in this window. Not sure what's gone on there.
Sandro... 6ft 2in defensive midfielder. Just what we need to cover Morrison. Right in the Pulis mould.
Inspirational.
The final missing piece of the jigsaw - a crippled defensive midfielder!
On his day a quality player for sure. Hopefully this will stop Evans ever being used in midfield
Problem is 'his day' was about 2 years ago. Also, if he's cover for Morrison, does this mean we'll be playing with 3 defensive midfielders (Fletcher, Yacob and Sandro)?
Either way, it sounds like a done deal pending a medical.
McManaman out for 6 weeks!
Our options out wide are fairly minimal especially when you consider that we don't have any proper full backs that Pulis trusts!
Who says Sandro's cover for Morrison? Even if he is a defensive midfielder, that's never prevented him from going forward. He can clearly play football.
We've got attacking midfield cover for Morrison and McManaman in the shape of James McClean.
Morrison out injured is not the end of the world.
Recently if yacob/fletcher have been out Evans has played in midfield. If Sandro comes in this shouldn't happen anymore. Yes we ideally need more ins but I can't see how it's a bad move

1. Aries, it's been reported in the media that he's cover for Morrison.
2. Morrison plays centrally so I don't see how McClean is cover for him. Besides, if McClean replaces Morrison, who replaces McClean on the left?
3. As for Sandro, he's been known to take the odd pot shot from distance but he's not going to provide the creativity we're screening out for!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Yes, that's the Press.................
2. Morrison can play where in attacking midfield, not jus central.
3. How do you know? Let's wait and see.
Oh, and Sess plays on the left.
* 2. Morrison can play anywhere in attacking midfield, not just central - my typos, sorry.
I'm amazed that Pocognoli (who you spell that?) doesnt get a start at full back. Wouldnt that allow Brunt to be moved into midfield? That might make WBA a bit more creative. (Oh... so that's why it hasnt happend then.....!)
Be delighted if this goes through.
Good player.

'a couple'
Not just Sandro. A couple.

2. Yes he can but at the moment he's our primary central attacking midfielder.
3. Using that logic we may as well have a bash at playing MacAuley up front!
All of this is missing the point. The fact is we should have 8 wide players in the squad. 4 full backs and 4 wingers. We've got nowhere near that many or of the requisite quality. Pulis is obsessed with building a wall of massive human bodies in front of our penalty box!

Pocognoli is first and foremost a fullback, and that means being a defender first before being an attacker, and maybe his defensive work isn't what it should be. We don't see the players on the training ground day in, day out, so we don't see it.
Why do we need to see Pocognoli on the training ground when we've seen him playing for the first team?

So you're saying Pocognoli's good enough to get into the team at LB and stay there, and we can push Brunt forward to left midfield? Not a trick question.

100% yes!
Ok. Let's see what the teamsheet brings.
I don't think Rondon will start, given the stories of his being tired.
I reckon Berahino will start. Looks like he may be staying and desperately needs some game time.
Also, think Poco may start.
