Martial goes passed players with ease. I would love to find a CM player a bit like him too that can run with the ball and attack centrally from deep and one with a good shot too.
We do need a right sided player of quality. Lingard maybe a useful squad player but no more. Perhaps Memphis can feature more on the right or Adnan.
Yeah I love Lingard's attitude but he's far from top class.
The other thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that our attacking players looked good against an awful team. I still don't think we'll take more than 4 points from our next 4 league games. Beating a championship team changes nothing in terms of where we are and anything I expect to improve
Never ever thought I would say this but I slightly agree with Hafi...
I thought their rb was utter rubbish and you should have been three up by half time had it not been for a poor final ball. The Warnock clearance in particular.
I expect all 12 and easily.

When our striker plays quite well we play better as well.
------
A lot is made of systems and that but a quality striker really makes such a big difference to a team. It's arguably the most important position on the pitch and an area we are lacking quality and consistency, so it's no wonder we've been struggling.

This point always gets ignored when the time to bash Lvg arises. To me it really is the only point

How hafi gets to his point is a bit monotonous but I have said many times he does have a point in terms of those "chance conversion" rates despite what the numbers state.
Someone described martial as a rich mans welbeck and I was furious for some reason, probably right, but I did not not what I want to hear. Welbecks flaw was always finishing (and timing runs, something martial seems to have problems with too) and it never came and he never really realized his potential. I do not want that for martial. Yes he is young and all but welbeck too was young with a lot of potential...
Great performance though. I see it already being dismissed as lower opposition which is fair enough but considering what most was a banana skin has been sidestepped so easily, I am taking the result as much better than expected.
On to the next. Beginning to think we may play better away these days because opposition teams come out more and our away fans are quite brilliant compared to the tense mess at OT. We do need to win them back to our side. Just no Fellaini pls.
Chance conversion is there for all to see. We are not unfortunate. We're just crap. And all the bluster in the world won't change that. Louis' already sucked it out of us
I do kind of agree with Hafi. I cursed dramatically when Martial got to the box and somehow the ball got AWAY from goal like repelling magnets in the 1st half. When that happened 3 more times I just sighed. There were two times with Rooney too when you wondered if the aim was to crawl the ball into the net. A win is good and as someone said, you beat what is in front of you. I cant even repeat my hope as to how far from OT I hope Fellaini is on Tuesday but I am sure he will play at some point... sigh.
We avoided a banana skin. We look like conceding hatfuls against a decent team. Its good that CBJ and Varela get some games . Somehow Rooney has a scoring run under his belt and despite his now normal profligacy and irritating touches, he is still important. Seems LVG is here till end of season. Those are the points I picked up. I will try fight any depression as I wait for the famous coaching messiah

UWW not really.
His first thought is to beat a man, get to the byline and find a team mate. That is what a winger does! I don't know what sort of wingers you've been watching who purely run in straight lines. Ryan Giggs most certainly didn't. Change the position all you want through sheer pedantry but it matters little
Martial is already better than Welbeck ever was. Close control, dribbling, gliding past players with ease.
True Cameras. Though I don't think Welbeck was ever very good at all. He was given leeway due to where he was from and his performances weren't looked at remotely objectively by a lot of fans. It was the old cliche about fans loving a fancy foreign name and overeating a player based on it, but in reverse
