Incredible by Mahrez (can't believe you've only given him a 7, I have only watched MOTD Highlights though) and what a goal from Vardy
Yeah, he got some things right, but he looked off the pace at times. He blew hot and cold tonight.
I don't think atrocious is a word you can put ever put next to Riyad Mahrez when describing him...!
Very very very harsh Dunge....
I suspect you may be right, BS. I wouldn't argue with anyone who wanted to dish out a few 9s tonight.
That was one of the best games I've seen in a very long time and our display was outstanding.
The team just look incredible and there are no weak links anywhere.
Simpson looks like a very, very good RB and he has surpised and impressed me with how good a defender he is.
Kante just seems to get better and better. I just love the way he goes flying into a challenge and then comes scurrying out with the ball. Every time.
Mahrez can be frustrating. He seems to try and do the sublime all the while at the expense of getting the simple stuff right sometimes, but we have to allow him a few mistakes coz some of the stuff he pulls off is breathtaking. The way he creates space for himself and the technique he has to move a ball past a player is world class at times.
At that goal. No words. I was right behind in it SK3 and when he hit it I though, what's he doing? But when it dipped in..... my God. The place just erupted.
I've been quietly saying that top four is definitely achievable but, for the first time walking out of the ground last night, I had a genuine belief that we can actually go on and win the bloody league.
If they all stay fit and if they continue to play like they have in the last two matches, then there's no reason why we can't actually win the title.
To dream the impossible dream....

If we can get out of these next two games with a minimum of two points, then the league is well and truly on.
I properly fancy us in the remaining games and could seriously see us putting a massive winning streak together. Who would bet against us winning against Norwich, West Brom, Watford, Newcastle, Palace, Southampton, Sunderland, West Ham and Swansea?
Is it conceivable to think we can avoid defeat in the next two games? Half of me says yes of course we can, but a quarter thinks we'll lose and the other quarter thinks we can win.
I just want these next two games over with now, feeling pretty nervous for the first time this season 😁
Thought Simpson was excellent, especially his reading and anticipation.
Huth was a man possessed the first 10 mins or so.
How on earth did no one else want Fuchs on a free?!
Drinkwater looks like a Premier League player now.
Agree on Kante DM. Wasnt his best day but his bad days are still pretty good.
When you try as much as Mahrez does you are going to get some things that dont come off. Sensational ball though to Vardy.
TBH Arrow, Man City didn't look all that on the MOTD highlights yesterday and they were very lucky to come away with all three points. They will be a different proposition at home and they will be desperate to beat us to regain top spot. But if we can defend like we did at home and hit them on the break, or another set piece like at WHL recently, then you never know.
Arsenal are having their annual capitulation and we owe them one after that 5-2, so we'll be well up for it.
I just think the fact that we've only got league games now whereas Man City, Arsenal and Spurs all have European games and cup games too could be a big factor...
Just 1 point from Man City and Arsenal would be good. If we get at least 1 point no one can be clear of us when we go in to the Norwich and West Brom home double header
We could have a top 4 of
Leicester 51
Tottenham 51
Arsenal 51
Man City 50
I do see where Dunge is coming from with regard to Mahrez. At worst he was wasteful in possession, defensively in no mans lands and over elaborated. At best he was creative, sublime and incisive. However, I did hear a few boos and murmurings of discontent around me on one occasion when he lost the ball in the 2nd half. I found that very disappointing considering he’s a player who has given us so much this season.
Simpson is a player that I must confess I severely underrated. I didn’t see the performances he’s produced this season coming based on what he produced last term.
Okazaki is improving every game and, although he’s sometimes frustrating, you can’t help but admire his work rate and enthusiasm. It’s this quality that epitomises this team more than anything. They’re all working so hard for each other.
I would say finally that, although it was a very enjoyable game, I don’t actually think we were outstanding. There wasn’t much in the game for a long period, but I honestly didn’t think that the Liverpool team was too great and were there for the taking. In the end it took a moment of rare quality to unlock the game. It’s testament to how far we’ve come that a 7 or 8 out of 10 performance was enough for us to deservedly win the game.
I was probably too harsh with the word "atrocious" though. Infuriating, definitely.
Anyway, I agree entirely about how some in the crowd were venting their frustrations. Wingers are supposed to be up and down at times, and Mahrez is supposed to be allowed to try things because when he gets it right then he so often either scores or creates a goal. I'd rather see a confident Mahrez trying things than a cautious Mahrez trying to play a solid but ultimately uneventful game.
