Dammit viviano you posted your sensible article at same time as me. Now I'll have to share the "know it all" glory with you when people look back in 1-2 months time

We've had the same cycle of s*** for the last 10 years! I think we have the right to complain just a bit!

Depends when the injury crisis ends. We are now 5 points behind with 14 games to play and 42 points available. That's over 10% that Leicester have got to drop MORE than us. And City its about 5% more points to drop.

Will need to win 12 of our remaining games and not lose the others, realistically.
Massive change of form required.

Just watched MOTD from last night as I was at the game. Arsenal looked good, better than I realised at the time, but for all that we got 1 point and 3 from 12.

We never w need the Leicester bubble to burst and city and Spurs to fail which is all looking unlikely as that would also mean Arsenal winning a large. Umber of their 14 games now.

It's still on, I just think from the Liverpool game onwards we have lost it.

This sort of $hit does my head in more than Castor and WNM's poisonous negativity. Apparently you can't question anything that goes wrong, you must blindly support every decision the management make otherwise you don't "support the facking team". I suspect we'll be hearing this sort of thing in about a years' time when another season begins to unravel in the same old way again. Arsenal FC and this board is like a bloody merry go round.

3 points from 12 is poor though. We are still in with a shout especially with the fixtures City and Leicester have coming up. This is make or break

Don't think we'll need that many wins DJ, we just need 3 more points than City in the next 14 games. Still reckon Leicester and Spurs will fall away. The last 10 games is when the pressure starts to get high and we see who can handle it, everyone assuming these last few results is us bottling it. But I think we're just going through a rough patch. The team showed more steel and a stronger mentality this season and we need our big players to step up now. in 10 days time we can be top again and everything looks different.

Half the people that criticise me on here for not "supporting the team" have never been to the facking ground and their version of support is typing COYG on the match thread

When we were top, the usual crowd were crowing "how can you complain, we are top of the league" - just like a couple of seasons ago when we were top in January (where Walcott got injured) and they were saying the same thing

Now we are 5 points off the top and it's still not OK to ask questions about our season - when will it be? 8 points? 10 points?

posted on 3/2/16

Looking at our fixtures a see 27 more points. Add that to the 45 we have and you get 72. It's going to be close, but not close enough I think.

Still we will have 8 CL games to look forward to next season.

How about just being a bit more balanced in your views instead of choosing one extreme or the other like a yoyo. The likes of my self and op say no more about us winning the title and every game than than we say the team is atrocious and we are failures. Why are you only able to remember the most immediate results? It just looks silly when things inevitably pick up just like it looks silly to say we are the best in the universe when things inevitably drop

top 4 is gonna change on pretty much a weekly basis from now to the end of the season, where we are in May is all the matters. At least Spurs have learnt the lesson and cut down on a bit of a gloating

This article is the Ja equivalent of Delia's 'let's be having you' speech

Cheesy and embarrassing.

You're not better than all the others, as the league table shows
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You should know by now the league table is only a true representation of a teams abilities when Arsenal are top,

If we aren't we have an injury crisis / refs are against us / been unlucky / just poor form etc and will soon be back there

Idiotic comment. When we were playing well and had lack of injuries (aka spurs right now) we were picking up points for fun. If you genuinely think our recent performances are reflective of the squads ability then you are more dense than suspected.

End of the day the league at the end of the year is the correct measure of success not from on week to the next.. Otherwise That is why it's moronic to melt down after any bad patch as it happens to every team every single year for a period of time

Do you think injuries and bad form have no relevance to our league position?

posted on 3/2/16

Didn't we have this discussion around injuries and form last year around it being just bad form, when you said we'd finish within a "f ag paper of the title", or something like that? How did that work out?

posted on 3/2/16

lol you would swear that this "injury crisis" is a fackin blip and an aberration the way Godfather is talkin!....reality check fella....this....happens....virtually....every year! we aren't winning the league under Wenger anymore or ever again buddy!....the sooner you get this through your skull the better you'll be for it

"WE'RE BETTER THAN THEM....THE LOT OF 'EM" no mate......we're not......and even IF we were, we're most definitely hamstrung by our inept, "past sell by date" of a manager
