"I would strongly question that. At least as far as the trophy drought period is concerned. As a"specialist in failure" as he was then, how he could look himself in the mirror without any shame is beyond me."

Moureen didn't walk out of the club for the awful results, he was sacked.

As Wenger should have been many years ago too.

So do certain fans just want to churn out repeat season after season under wenger.

He will never strengthen the team to the level we fans want, won't ever challenge for champions league, have the same long term injuries and never be in a real title challenge.

If he doesn't win the league he simply he to step down in the summer

We're in a title challenge now Get the feeling that you are dreading Wenger winning the league again. A couple of years ago it was 'Wenger will never spend money or win trophies again', you'll have to move on to something else when we win the league

One the one hand he's built something really tangible which can't be discounted...

... But on the other hand if he loses out to one of us at a time where he's actually had the finances the club have longed for then that's an epic failure on his part.

Sacked if Spurs or Leicester win it, retire if Arsenal win it. <ok

I think the title will be won with 76 points which will mean Arsenal and Spurs will need 28 points, City 29 and Leicester 23 from their remaining fixtures.

This means all three have to improve on the last 13 and we need to do worse than we managed during our worst spell of the season. The pressure is on you three not us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The pressure is on every team left in the title race until it's over and won. For Leicester, the pressure is to maintain their form and position in the league. For the others it's to catch up to and pass them.

That always has a major impact on confidence and that can soar or plummet in a very short space of time. That will severely effect performances and results. The impact of every dropped point gets magnified more and more the fewer the games there are left to play.

Thee difference is we don't need to maintain this form, we can afford to do worse than we have in the last 13 and still win it. We need less points than anyone else to reach 76.

It will take City and Arsenal to improve significantly and for Spurs to get one more point from a much tougher set of fixtures.

Yes. He won't though. He's an expert on blurring the lines of what is considered success and what is failure. Consequently, he never fails: at least to him and his fans. They'll find a way to spin failure this season as a success.

Thanks for figuring out the basic arithmetic involved, genius. Your projections are still rather pointless. Far better teams than you have capitulated under pressure. Discussing who is under the most pressure misses the point. It's about who will react best under pressure and not who has the most pressure.

Think this is my biggest issue with that crowd.

Season after season for the past few years it's been the same thing, failing to achieve their expectations and either the goal posts being moved or some excuse like injuries or refs.

Even though I absolutely hate Wenger I love Arsenal infinitely more. For me, I'm hoping beyond hope we do win the league no matter who the manager is. To be challenging this deep in the season is long overdue unnecessarily do if Wenger had done his job properly.

Would you refuse to celebrate an Arsenal game winning goal because you didn't like the player that scored ?

As a long suffering season ticket holder, this league season has been longed for. Even though Wenger's preparation for this season has been shocking (even by his low standards) we are where we are. I hope we can finish the job and have that epic open to bus parade at the end of the season.

Let's judge things at the end of the season, then the end of the summer window, then the end of the Jan window, then the end of next season, then the end of next summer's window before being so critical.

People who say this a fecking idiots. Like anyone cares more for their opinion on whether Wenger is up to task than they do for us taking the title. Don't be so bloody stupid.

As I said, dropping points tends to ruffle those perfectly laid feathers somewhat. Winning titles is a very bumpy ride and has the nasty habit of not following your perfectly thought out script.
