Its so vital to our style really is, its not just the movement for me, its our striker standing in the box where hes meant to be (positioning), on the shoulder of the last CB. Just like Sturridge did today, even if the ball doesn't come in the space it creates for our midfield as its made their cbs drop deep.
So much different when Bentekes on, hes so deep trying to flick balls on to no one or w.e he does, or he does some nice link up play then struggles to get in the box in time, often cause he switches off and ball watches.
much better pitch today helped too..
the sooner we can replace the infrastructure under anfield the better..
Scored six in both Sturridge's last two starts.
As Carra says he turns an average side into a good one.
Have to keep him fit.
After aguero, a fit Sturridge is the best striker in the league
It's not just about movement, although that is a big factor!
It's having the quality and studge has quality, he's world class when he's fit!
I've been saying for ages that we'd be completely different with mobile strikers fit.
Apparently it was an excuse rather than a reason.
So far so good

Think Origi may turn out to be pretty good too.
According to BBC Daniel Sturridge has the best minutes per goal ratio of any Liverpool player in Premier League history (118 mins per goal).
I so hope he is fixed now.
Having actual strikers Mage a huge difference!
Sturridge scored 45 in his last 75. Not bad considering he is always half fit
Having players playing direct and moving helps. No lallana constantly checking back helps
I think lallana would actually do very well with strikers in front of him
Villa can't be that bad, Benteke didn't score.
Maybe he didn't want to celebrate against his old club<dash>

Not just Studge, Cout back too, Hendo getting back into it too, Can was very good, the confidence just comes back we play better, Studge is a calming influence on the ball due to his confidence.
Villa were awful but the change when we have Studge and Cout back is huge they clearly give the team a huge lift just by being on the pitch.
Milner and Lallana are squad players who do well when they have good players around them. When it's a team of Milner's and Lallana's, then you worry. They don't have the quality that the likes of Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge do, but they fit in and complement them as squad players okay - providing it's just one or the other.
A team with too many workhorses just works hard and not smart.
A team without Benteke stifling every attack is so much better. Benteke wasn't there to disrupt the flow and so much more space opens up when he isn't in the way.

I never saw the game today due to work
Were Liverpool good, Villa bad or a combination of both...

It is about quality. When you have quality players you will win more games its simple.
Well glad to hear that Liverpool actually played quite well as I have become very disillusioned with the quality shown recently and I am sure I was not the only one
