"good old sandy. an absolute clown if truth be told."

He's one of our own ...

The problem is that Sandy in his head thinks that everyone bar him are children of the late 80s / early 90s etc, and have no recall of past Spurs events.

On the other side, there is a lady who as a kid saw ARTHUR ROWES' team lift the league title.
Top that, Sandy.

Not at all matey in fact I wish there were a few more supporters who saw Spurs teams in the 1950s and 1960s, on the Spurs board. And yes I know there are one or two on the boards who have been supporting Spurs longer than me, and guess what I don`t go around poo pooing them.

Spurs should have won the league in 1985, they had 14 games to play, 10 of which were at home, they simply were not good enough though, they absolutely battered Everton in a must win game at WHL, and still lost the match. The were not burnt out on that night.

"has sandy been busted?"

The excitement before the League Cup final was immense.

Yeh and if Steve Archibald had not missed an absolute sitter a few minutes from the end of normal time, Spurs would have nicked that trophy from Liverpool. Frankly though Spurs were outplayed from start to finish by a great Liverpool outfit, never been so disappointed that day at Wembley to see Spurs get so outplayed at Wembley.

I was two and a half at the time, but my Old Man was there, does that count?

Poch will rotate the squad as he's been doing to an extent all season. If we win, he'll be lauded as a tactical genius. If we lose, Chronic will say "I feckin told you so" and Don's charabanc will be getting a deep clean somewhere around beachy head.

Either way, Poch's doing what he's undoubtedly paid handsomely for and I'll still be following Spurs.

I think we should go near full strength on Thursday. Theres no way we will get a result against a good Fiorentina side with a severely weakened team. I would like to see Lloris, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen Alli and Kane start. Tripper and Davies in at FB, Lamela coming in for Son

---------------------------------Lloris

Trippier-----------Alderweireld---Wimmer--------Davies

--------------------------Dier------------Dembele

Lamela-----------------------Eriksen-------------------Alli

------------------------------kane

For the FA cup game at home, Palace will probably rest a few and as we have home advantage so we can perhaps get away with fielding a more weekend side.
Perhaps CCV, Mason, Bentaleb, Caroll and Onomah coming in -

--------------------------------Vorm

Walker----------CarterVickers--------Wimmer------Rose

-----------------------Mason----------Bentaleb

Onomah----------------------Carroll----------------------Son

---------------------------------Chadli

For the FA Cup game i would have the big guns on the bench just in case it goes tiiits up.

Bench - Lloris, Trippier, davies, Dembele, Alli, Eriksen and Kane.

Bit frustrating that the three CBS available to us are all essential first teamers. CCV needs to be blooded in the Europa, and really it would've been an ideal time to get a few quids worth out of Fazio. Personally I'd play CCV in all 3 games, give the boy a baptism of fire, and play one of Toby/Dier/Wimmer aside him each game. Usual full back rotation, run of games for Vorm. Bentaleb, Mason, Carroll, Onomah, Chadli all to feature heavily, bit of Son/Lamela/Eriksen rotation, with other usual first teamers being held back for essential cameos only. Bentaleb & CCV both played for the U21's last week, so they must be ready.

Have a good crack away on Thursday, if we win rest as many as poss the home leg, if we lose fack the home leg off. Palace are dropping quicker than Maf's mum knickers when a crackhead waves a fiver at her, Pardew clearly too busy banging the players wives to worry about tactics, but will prob hold a few back this weekend - at home our B team should have enough about them to see Palace off. Nice easy home draw next round luvvly jubbly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree with this except I would go to Fiorentina with a team built to contain, stay in the tie and then go hard at them in the second leg at WHL (if we need to)

go hard at them three days before Swansea game?

if we are gonna play one team strong one team weak then kill the tie in the first leg - we are a much better side away from home anyway
