Charlie Iniesta , Xavi Henderson and Jamie Cannavaro will lead Liverpool to Premier League glory

Not being bitter because he has left but you are more than welcome to him! not trolling but I would be worried about him and Carroll in the dressing room.
Shame Lionel Cole has moved ontp pastures new

Meireles was one of Liverpool's best players last season...good business by CFC..Bellamy is a backward move tho and not good enough for City anymore

not a backward move, Bellamy is an experienced player who knows the set up.
considering we have a number of lads progressing from the academy i dont see anything wrong with signing him
Also, he was brought in to replace Ngog, not Meireles
Have to agree with the above.
Bellamy is Ngog's replacement and i rather him on the bench than Ngog, Meireles on the other hand we have not replaced. But with Gerrard to come back and Adam & Henderson settling in, we are certainly covered.
Maybe we'll be in for someone in the Jan window...u'll never know.
thanks Lucas
a lot of people slating Bellers, i think he's going to be an astute signing...a free transfer that makes much more sense than bringing in Cole last year - i think roy only signed him because he was free and he knew him!
Bellamy is 10times better than Ngog even at 32. However to say that Adam is better than Meireles is crazy. I have a bad feeling he will be very effective, linking up play and scoring goals for chelsea
Cannot agree OP, Meireles single handedly destroyed us at the Molineux just after Kenny had taken charge last season.
You beat us 3-0 all down to Meireles he was superb .
Dont think Bellamy is the same player as 3 years ago but he is still quality..its his attitude which will be interesting...
even though he's 'not our problem' i do wonder where on earth Raul will fit into the Chelsea team?
if he doesnt get a good run of games you might find him struggling for form...i thought Chelsea were generally ok in the Midfield area?
Can any Chelsea fans do a mock up of what your team would be like with Raul in it?

Single handedly, I dont think so, he is a classy little player who was good to have in certain games. In other games he was ineffective and lacks the nerve to put his foot in, I'm still not happy that he pulled out of the tackle with The full back against man utd!

With the current Chelsea squad..i wouldnt be surprised if he had too do all that on the pitch
Football fans are hilarious. A week ago we were a 'one man team' due to Suarez. All other players were average.
Now, amazingly, Meireles' depature is the death knell for the club and will enable Chelsea to cement their position behind City and Utd (couldn't resist).
Meireles is a good player - can't argue with that, but his playing time on the pitch was already limited and that's without Gerrard coming back.
Gerrard will be his replacement, not Adam or Henderson, and that's a reasonable replacement to have.
He gave us a good season, we made a profit on him, can't complain.
Let's hope he fares better than our recent departures down south.
